2 Questions

When did you get your blood tests done?
I start my 8th week on monday 9/13.
I've been to my doctor twice already to verify the pregnancy and he has not mentioned these tests to me.
I have another appointment on Tues the 14th for a second sonogram.
Also my doctor is just gyno... not ob/gyn. He said I will have to find another doctor to deliver.
Is it true that most doctors wont see you until you are in your 8th week? Or do you think I can call now to make an appointment with an ob/gyn?

I went to the doctor at 6 weeks and 8 weeks and I have another appointment at 12 weeks. I took all my blood work at my six week appointment.

I also had a sonogram at 6 and 8 weeks.

I guess my first thought is that you need to start finding an OB/GYN now and not stay with a GYN much longer. A GYN will not handle your pregnancy the same and if you start to have any complcations you will want to have your OB part of your team. It will take you a few weeks to get the appt with the OB anyway so I would make the calls this week. Also you need to find one that you like and that could take time.

Thanks for the advice.
So that seems right because I had a 5 week sono and next week I'll have my 8 week sono.
I guess that he hasnt mentioned the blood tests, since he is not the one who would do them.
I think I am going to call my sister in laws OB.. since she just gave birth in March and seemed to really like the whole group of doctors.
