2 questions about invites

2 questions about invites

1. did you guys write out new york?

2. what if you had a relative that has a teenager living there is it the smith family OR
mr & mrs. blah blah and scott?

thanks this is a pain in the A$$

I did NY (except for my friends that live in the city. I wrote New York, NY for them)

I invited 'Mr. & Mrs. Joe Mima and Family'

I did not write out New York.. you can do either, I personally do not think there is a right or wrong way to do it and they are going in the garbage anyway so I didn't stress about it. I also just put 'and family' on the invite.. if there are people in the family that you are not inviting then you should put the names. Hope this helps

2) Do you have an outer and inner envelope?
Is the teenager less than 18?

If he is 18 or older then he gets his own invite addressed to 'Mr. Scott Smith'

If he is less than 18 *and* you have an inner envelope write 'Mr. & Mrs. Smith' on the inner envelope and on a line below that write 'Scott'. On the outer envelope write 'Mr. & Mrs. John Smith'.

If you only have outer envelope, and he is the only family member in the house, and is under 18, write 'The Smith Family' on the outside.
