Hi has anyone ever used Glenmar Studios in roslyn as their photographer? We went there tonight and liked them but the saleslady was talking circles around me. 2nd question..I don't care much about my flowers ..just want simple and cheap CPs for the tables..anyone have any places that I can check out...preferably nassau county...THANKS ALL!!

I don't know about the photographer. . .we went with Patken (love them . but a little higher than some of the others we were looking at). . . but I had a budget of $1000 for flowers. . .they are important to me. . .but not the most vital part of my wedding (besides my bouquet ), so I wanted something nice and decorative. . .but not extravagant and pricey. . . and I was open to suggestions. . . I met with one bad florist who could keep to my budget. . .a couple who were slightly to a bit higher. . . and a great one that was willing to work with me by being more creative in cp design (going with several small cp's trailing the length of the table instead of one large one)and flower suggestion (I kind of left the selecting up to her. . .and just put my two cents in if I didn't like a flower or had a particular one in mind. . .otherwise I let her run with it. . .kind of fun to watch actually). . . that florist was Verbena Designs. I say definately look into them. Speak with Jennifer. . .she's the owner and they are a vendor on here. They only do one affair a day. . . and she treats each one the same regardless of how much money you are spending. After meeting with her I was pleasantly surprised by how much would be included in that price compared to what I was being quoted elsewhere. Look her up under vendors. . . Good Luck!

glenmar....depending on what they offered you, you might do better elsewhere...they offered us a flimsy 'package' though it was VERY affordable. we decided to NOT go with them for this reason. slightly more expensive studios offered us far more.

We live close to Verbena so I will definitely look into them!! Thank you sooo much. I agree with the bouquet being most important. This is my 2nd marriage and I can't even remember my CPs from the 1st!!! I do remember my bouquet though!! We spent a fortune the 1st time and I just don't care what's on the tables this time...I don't want crap but I don't want to spend much. The room is beautiful and would look great with high flowing CPs but I will try Verbena and see what they can do. I will keep you posted...J

I spoke to a woman from Pedestals...she said she could do a tiny glass box with a few flowers for $65 a piece. My tables are long and oval so that would look terrible. She couldn't do any cheaper so I said I would pass! UGH

Those candles look great!! I did speak to someone about doing that and she told me for long oval tables it would cost $90 per CP. UGH I could do flowers for that!! There will probably be 12 -14 tables and I want to try and get something low for around $50. Am I dreaming?? Good luck to me!!!!

We are getting married at the Tivoli Terrace on Brush Hollow Road next to Westbury Music Fair. My sister got married there and the place is beautiful and more important..the food is excellent!! We are having the ceremony in their chapel and they are taking great care of us!! How about you???
