2 Questions for you guys (sort of long)
Im in PT and been watching what I eat. I'd LOVE to be under 130 for my wedding.
A few months back I checked my weight at the Gym before PT and I was 142.
Now I feel self-conscience checking my weight there because its in the bathroom and others can see you.. I dunno maybe Im nuts.
So anyway last night after PT which included 20 minutes on the bike and 10minutes with ice on my knee, I checked my weight.
It says I’m 132. Now I realize those scales are ALWAYS off but it’s the same scale that said I was 142 a few months ago. I really don’t trust that. But I was hot sorta sweaty but cooled down.
I REALLY want to lose a few before the wedding. My dress fits fine now and that’s great an all and I’m pretty happy with what I look like (I could afford to tone those hips a bit) and with other health issues I have, I just can’t afford to lose too much weight. But, I'd like to tone a bit.
Those other health issues force my day to day diet to be fairly healthy by default.
No Greasy foods (Pizza, hamburgers, fries, pizza, fried chicken)
No high fatty foods (cheese, milk, pork, ham, chicken skin)
No concentrated sugars (milk chocolate, sweet cookies like oatmeal cookies, most desserts)
No full meals (I can’t actually eat until I’m full I have to stop, so I have smaller portions)
My usual diet is limited to Red meats, baked chicken, fish, LOTS of pasta, rice, Veggies galore! We do sushi on Mondays and I love our weekend outing for Mussels!
I love love love veggies so every meal has a portion of them. Rice is about the safest thing I’ve learned I can eat that fills me up, so I like to have a small portion of that since it lets me to not feel so bad about having smaller portions of meat.
No way I could pull off a low-carb diet. Just not possible, due to my health issues I NEED fatty tissue to burn. If I take too much away then I could actually hurt myself. So Pastas and rice are good for me. Low-fat is a way of life for me, but I guess I could do better. Salt isn’t an issue for me, I don’t salt stuff at all, I actually have no idea what the salt shaker looks like right now. I’m trying to cut back on caffeine, if nothing else than to clear up my skin.
My 2 questions
1. When are you supposed to weigh yourself? I need to get a better idea of what I REALLY weight (132..haha as IF!!! It’s a lie and I know it)
2. Since I can’t really mess with my diet too much, any ideas from you ladies that I may haven’t thought of?
(PT = Physical Therapy. I’m stuck in this at LEAST through the beginning of February. I’m sure I can get another month or so out of them. Nothing like free gym)
