2 Questions: How soon to book RD & how much?

I'm getting married March 27, 2004 and just found out we need to pay for RD also.

Any ideas how far in advance to book that? We live in Suffolk county and are thinking maybe Pomodorino's or something else more reasonably priced. Ideas on cost pp?

Any suggestions for places? We're getting married in Centereach.

My church would not give me a Rehearsal date until 3 months before the wedding

The costs vary between the different places. I booked mine in July for and October wedding, and I only booked early becasue I wanted my Rehersal on a Friday.

Here are some of the palces I looked at:

Mama Leonora's in Patchogue has 3 different menus starting from 15.95 to 21.95.

Sonoma Grill in Holbrook is 21 pp, they have a website which has the menu.

Brickhouse Brewery - Patchogue, buffet started at 17.95 and sit down was 21.95. They also have a website, that has the entire party package selection.

Courtyard Cafe - Ronkonkoma - Lunch - 19, inner 23, they also had other packages too.

Landmark Cafe -Patchogue - 19.95

Harborside -Patchogue- 17.95 Sunay - Friday, 19.95 Saturday

South Shore Restaurant- Patchogue - 24.95

Donato's - Patchogue - 17.95-19.95 depending on package

Pomodorino - Hauppauge - 20.95 - 28.95

Mama Leonora's - Patchogue - 15.95 - 17.95

Brickhouse Brewery - dinner 19.95, lunch 17.95 - buffett, sit down dinner 22.95

Sayville Inn - 28pp, but this is the only one that includes beer and wine in that price.

Crazy Dog - Main Street inn Sayville - 28.95pp

Michael's - Main Street Sayville - 29.95

Beachtree Cafe was 16.95, they have a website also, which will have a number on where to call for info.

Irish Coffee Pub was 29 for a sit down dinner.

My church is the same way and I don't want to book a restaurant and then have to change it in case my church can't accomodate that day. I'm also getting married in March and probably won't book a restaurant/church rehearsal until December or January. It will be during the week so I don't think we should have a problem getting a reservation. We live in Queens (near the Nassau border) so I can't recommend any Suffolk restaurants - sorry

I booked my RD the week before, but I don't recommend waiting to the last minute because it was stressful!

Thanks everyone! Looks like I'll be reserching all these places!

Thank you SHELZYP! You've just given me a great idea of what's out there and prices. Yet another expense to add to my list!

Glad I could help, I looked at alot of places, and I felt that 30 pp was too much to pay for a RD, when we were having 30 people at it. So we decided on Mama Lenora's after we tasted the food.

Also Lizlen had her's at Olive Gardena nd they ahd great prices too. They could not do it on a Friday night though.
