You may spot even if your pregnant. as for the POP method (pullout and pray), I'm pretty sure its possible you can get Pg that way, I think its only like 75-90% effective form of BC

You can totally get PG with the pull out method

The pull out method is probably how thousands of young girls have unplanned pregnancies every year. Sperm is sperm- and it only takes one to reach the egg and BABY. I doubt it is even close to 75% effective. Planned Parenthood probably has better stats on it, but in all reality putting anything in without birth control is the same as TTC.

Spotting can be a sign of many things including pregnancy. You need to do a test to be sure though.

Of every 100 women whose partners use withdrawal, 27 will become pregnant during the first year of typical use. Of every 100 women whose partners use withdrawal, four will become pregnant during the first year of perfect use.

Pre-ejaculate can contain enough sperm to cause pregnancy. Pregnancy is also possible if semen or pre-ejaculate is spilled on the vulva.

Spotting can also be the sign of DUB, or called, Dysfunctional Uterine Bleeding. I had this about 2 weeks ago, and it made me run to the gynocolgist, low and behold I had a severe UTI infection, which caused the DUB. But I also had taken about 3 preganacy tests to make sure I was not preggo. In the end it was from the infection, and the doctor told me, I might skip AF this month because my cycle is all messed up from this. She did also told me to maybe I should abstain for peace of mind until AF comes and makes her visit.
The pull out method is not very effective as birth control. As another girl on this topic wrote, Sperm is sperm, and POP method is not very effective as Birth control. Definately take a home preganacy test for peace of mind.

princess that sounds scary!!! I hope thats not what I have. I dont think so because- i have had uti many times this doesnt feel like a uti- Ifeel like Im getting my period( cramps and bloating) but just this wierd spotting no flow to really speak of

If I were preggo- it would be a nice surprise- Im off the bcp and using the pop method (which we have used before with no problems) were arent trying though. If I dont get af for real in a couple of days I'll take a test.

It was so scary- I was petrified... I was convinced I had a crazy disease, which of course I did not, the doctor told me to stop looking things up on the internet!

Antoinette: to answer your questions:

Yes and Yes

princess99 - your doctor is 1000% right about not looking stuff up on the internet. As you have experienced, you can scare yourself into believing you have symptoms of what you read. When Luke has an abnormal screening for cystic fibrosis when he was born, I drove myself crazy reading things about it. I was convinced that he had some of the symptoms. I ws scared out of my mind. And I am not a neurotic person either. It can make you nuts.
