2 ???s about BM dresses

1. Is there any reason NOT to choose BM dresses before you choose your own?

2. Anyone ever wear an Ann Taylor Celebrations dress? Is there anywhere to go to try them on or do you just have to order from the website?

Most brides choose BM after their own gown to determine how simple/ornate they want the BM dresses to be compared to their own, as well as some bridal gowns have beading and designing and you want to get a BM dress that wouldn't compliment your own.

You can try Ann Taylor dresses at their stores - they have one in Smithaven Mall and the Loft is in Stony Brook Village.

My BMs wore the celebrations dresses....there are a handful of stores (incl. one in Manhattan and one in westchester) that carry them to try on and purchase.

Edited to add link and to say that not all the stores carry everything that it on the website...it was in the begininng of the year which I would assume was before they got their act together but it was a NIGHTMARE for all my BMs to find/order their dresses...the whole painful story is in my review...but I'm hoping that now that they are used to the volume of sales things will be better
