I just want to cry. I was running late for work and was almost at my job when I got pulled over for speeding. I haven't gotten pulled over in I don't know how long, I was shaking and all. FH is going to kill me.
Does anyone know how many points you get for 11-30 mph over the speed limit?
The worst part is I was in such a happy mood this morning cause a year ago today FH proposed to me and we were going out tonight to celebrate. ANd then tomorrow night is my B-party. I was getting so excited. And now all I want to do is curl up on my bed and cry.

if you take the 6-hour defensive driving class they will remove up to 3 points.

were you closer to 11 or 30??
If you go in person, they will talk it down if you plead guilty and pay.
Its a tiny bit more expensive because you have to pay court fees, but less points - cheaper in the long run.
I was going 70 in a 55 and got it down to 'running a stop sign' which was only 2 points I think.

i got a ticket for 77 in a 55. It was 6 points, but I went to court & it was pleaded down to 3 points, and the fine was almost $100 less.

I agree! But try to focus on all the good things happening. I am not usually the one to say 'oh things could be worse' but it is true...you have a lot of great things to focus on, don't let a ticket ruin your weekend.

My BM got pulled over on her way to my house the day of the wedding. She was hysterical, and flushed when she got there. She was going very fast.
go out and celebrate, and dont worry abou the ticket til after the wedding!

Aw, thanks ladies. My boss calmed me down this morning. I know things could be a lot worse and I'm not even going to think about the ticket until Tuesday. Shhh, don't tell my FH about it, gonna wait till tuesday.
On a good note, one year from today FH proposed and we're going out to celebrate tonight. And tomorrow is my B-party. Going to dance my butt off!!!

I am so sorry! Maybe you can fight it?? I don't think it's tha tmany points. I think you can look up on the DMV website on on the back of the ticket it should say how many points
