2004 brides

I was trying to find 'our' link and can't find it, but I wanted to let everyone know that do not let anyone tell you it is too early..... It really is not it will be 2003 in another 6 weeks, Are they paying the wedding? We just do not tell anyone anything unless they ask. We have all the major vendors done, I have the dress... got it off the rack and got it bigger so there is room for altertations, and we have our wedding bands.( I highly reecommend the jeweler we used he hand engraves! if anyone wants the name FM mail me) So too bad for these people! We got the best prices we could for us, and we can just sit back and relax now. We just have to order the tuxes and pick then out, flowers, and order BM dresses and invitations.

Re: 2004 brides

We have been engaged since July and when I went to look at wedding gowns the first time, I found one that I absolutely love but some of my friends were telling me that its way too early to get my gown because styles change. Since then I've been so hesitant to go out and look. I'm worried that in a year from now I'll hate my gown!!

FH keeps telling me that I am stressing over something that is happening 546 days away (May 22, 2004). He just doesnt understand that places are being booked right now and **** it Im a woman who likes to have things planned out!

I just picked out my gown today. I hope Ill like it in 9 months when it comes time to order it. 2004 ISNT that far away. Styles cant change too much, can they?

I agree that 2004 is not THAT far away. People are telling me the same things about looking for dresses! I'm just getting ideas for now from websites and magazines! Things do get booked up really quick around here and it's great to lock in prices now and to be able to relax for awhile! Well, good luck everyone! We all have to stick together! HA!

I get the its so early you have plenty of time and i get the wow you are so smart to start now in your search of vendors and booking. We havent booked any of our vendors but we are starting the search. I am going dress shopping in a few weeks (i get the same thing styles change, etc...) but it doesnt hurt to look.

i would rather have all this time to plan and search for vendors and enjoy the engagement rather then feel pressured or rushed to get vendors. i like having time to look into everything and doing my homework. 2 years seems like its far away for some people but it seems perfect for us.

My wedding is May 21, 2004. If you think about it, it is only a year and one half away! This way we will get all of the vendors we want and we won't have to settle. It also gives us time to save money!!

We are getting married May 28,2004. People are always telling us that it is too far away. I just explain that there is a lot to do and time is needed to save money. I also add that if they want to help pay for it we would be happy to move the date up.

I agree with you all....2003 is not far away...I am getting married 2/7/04....I am gonna look at dresses this coming February. I just ignore people when they make remarks.....someone always has something to say I am convinced!!!!

The way I see it is that if I get all the big things out of the way now....

1. I have more time to focus on the little details.
2. Get major vendors for 2004 at 2002 prices!

Some vendors aren't taking bookings for 2004 yet (hair & makeup) but I've gotten my name down to have them call me when they are ready to book for that time.
