Well, I booked my band because I really wanted them. I am going to wait a while to book anything else. Both of my sisters used flowers by Bourton so i will probably use them. I am also going to use my cousin's photographer.

I guess you can say I'm ahead of schedule...I have my band because they are wonderful...I have my photographer because he is the best and he books fast...I have my video booked beacuse he is also really good and books fast and is family so I wanted to make sure I had them all reserved...But everything else I'll book at the end of the year or the bvegining of next.
I like to make sure I get exactly what I want...It's my wedding

I am thinking of Burton's for flowers and a couple of other locations to look into. I know Burton's books fast but I don't want to be TOO early on booking them. Who are you guys using for video and photography?

The video is Riccardo Productions...the Best...they are in bay Ridge Brooklyn though...They do such a wonerful job really. and the photographer is in Queens...Mantione Studios(Peter) learned from the best. They both keep you calm and relaxed the whole day.

I hope I get the vendors I am interested in I want to start visiting vendors after September. Did the video and photographer give you a break b/c you booked so early? Did they honor the 2002 prices rather than making up a rate based on fluctuation. I was told this by someone I can't remember who. Now I remember a reception hall. They couldn't book us because we were so far in advance and they had not confirmed their 2004 price structure yet. As if the measly additional $20 a head would have killed them!

The SandCastle didn't add anything...3 years ago the same menu went for $85pp and 2 years from now its only $100pp.

The Band's price is about the same ( a ltiile higher)from the wedding that referred me to them

For the video and for the photographer...well they are like family and we use them all the time so thir prices were good.

No One had a problem with booking so early...

Licia do you mind providing contact info for the video and photography? I am making my vendor lists and the more options I have is better.
Thank you.

All I have booked so far is Floral Terrace and the Church. We're going to start meeting with vendors in October or November.

I booked the Chateau Briand and my church and that's about it. I was just wondering about 2004 brides and what was done. Good Luck to you all and I look forward to hearing your adventures once you begin visting vendors! I will be here to give mine as well!

We are getting married in march 2004,people think we are crazy to be booking vendors, but hey we are paying for this ourselves, and we want the best we can afford, too bad on them. Ha!
We booked the caterers(Chateau Briand), photographers(Rick and co), Flowers we are using Colonial Florist, video Bellarino Productions. The only thing left is the DJ, tux, wedding bands, and hairstylist, I think...I think I found the gown, I picked out the BM dresses already. I am too organized !!!!
