I don't post often but I could use some feedback. I have been in the process of looking for my gown. I found one I liked and when I went to find it from the designers website it was a 2004 Style.
Would anyone be concerned that it is an older style...or do designers sell some of their old stuff too? I was just curious. I haven't made any final decisions yet though. Got a few more places to check out.
TIA

Re: 2004 style bridal gown?
Are your guests going to go on the designer web site and find this out? I think the whole gown thing is crazy. No one is going to look at your tags or go online to see what year it is. As long as you love it, get it. This is not a fendi bag, i just don't get it.

Mine is also an 04. Part of why I love it is that I think the style is timeless--so the year doesn't matter much!

Mine is an 04! I'm not worried, it's very classic, not trendy. I didn't want trendy.....I wanted something that would look beautiful 10 years from now...and maybe my daughter could wear...:)

I don't think the year matters - as long as you love it, it's not discontinued and you can still get it without any trouble, get it!

Mine is an 04 also!!! I don't think it matters much when the dress was issued, as long as you are in love with it!!

I think as long as you love the dress and you now its the one, it doent matter what year its from or where you get it from.

Re: 2004 style bridal gown?
thanks for the feedback. I wasn't concerned that other people would know it was a 2004 dress. I was more concerned about being able to get the dress. I tried it on at a bridal shop and didn't even know it was 04. I was chcking out to see if shops can still get them. (I guess if they show them they have to be able to get it.) Since there are future 04 bridal gown wearers then I definitly will not let it worry me.
Thanks again. You ladies are the best...especially for a worry wart like me.

Re: 2004 style bridal gown?
I was married in '04 and I think mine was a design from '01. Wedding dress styles don't change radically in the span of just a few years. I wouldn't worry about it.

mines an '04 gown too - it was a best seller so its still being made. I wouldnt worry as long as the salon/website says you can get it.

Re: 2004 style bridal gown?
My gown is from Maggie Sottero's 2003 collection. The designers usually come out with new gowns at least once a year, but they keep some of their standards.

Mine was actually an 04 too. I bought it at the beginning of 05. It's not even on the designer's website anymore.

I don't think it matters - The styles don't change that much in a couple of years
