Re: 2005 Brides.....
Hi my fellow 2005 brides...
I'm just a teensy bit sad and in need of your support... I just found out that a cousin of mine who recently got engaged will be married next year, before me.... **siiiiiighhhh** It's not about her, it's just sad to hear that someone who got engaged after me will be married before me... can you ladies relate?

Re: 2005 Brides.....
I can definitely relate as well, I have a friend who is engaged after us and getting married before us also, but what I do is think about the extra time we have to plan things and toss around ideas without having to 'rush' to have it all done in a year and paid for. Not to mention the wonderful ladies on this board. We've got each other to keep us from losing our minds

It annoyed me too. I found out the same thing. BUt ya know what. I feel like we have more time to put into our weddings, we don't have to rush. And we have eachother for support

Re: 2005 Brides.....
Well, it seems EVERYWHERE I turn, someone is gettng engaged after me and married before me, but I have to say, I am ENJOYING be engaged. I enjoy the time I have and the slow paced, relaxed planning. Just think, for all of those getting married before us, we can learn from their MISTAKES. That might sound awful, but the truth hurts sometimes

Re: 2005 Brides.....
i feel the same way as everyone else. it is a little frustrating and i am a little jealous that serioulsy 7 couples(all close to us like our best freinds and siblings) have gotten engaged after us and are getting married before us. i would love to be married today but we are loving being engaged as well and are taking our time with the planning without the stress. it feels like its been forever but it went from being three years away to 1year and 10 months and the time is flying.

Re: 2005 Brides.....
You think YOU ladies are impatient? LOL! I'm not even ENAGAGED yet, and I'm already itching to plan out the when and where! My future fiance and I have already gone to a bridal expo and I know he is getting me a ring sometime soon, since we discussed everything already. We definitely will be getting married in 2005. I'm just wondering what the best month is as far as weather is concerned. After this rainy summer...I'm kind of nervous about June and July. Any ideas? And hopefully everyone on this baord doesn't think I'm putting the carriage before the horse! lol. He knows how impatient I am and he just smiles and hugs me and says I 'have no idea' when it's coming...lol

Bumping for Baldshrimp -
Congrats!!!
Neesiepie - we wont judge you at all - i actually was the same way - i had half my wedding planned in my head almost a year before my FH actually asked me -
With respect to weather - well -I'm getting married in JAN! - I didnt take the weather into consideration at all - especially after this summer - at least I wont have to set back ups in case it rains - (although if there is a blizzard there may be another situation there) - I am actually hoping for a little snow - friends of ours got married in December and had a BLIZZARD! on their wedding day - everythign turned out ok - and they now have the most gorgeous picutres in the snow in teh park!!
THe major driving factor that had us choose Jan was price-
Pick a month that you picutre yourself getting marreid in - weather you have no control over - except weather it will be cold or hot - and even that you have no control over in some months - (Like April, May, Sept Oct Nov - sometimes i thas been warm and sometimes it has been cold.
Have you thought of any hall in particular??
Good luck -and us 2005 girls adn all the girls on the boards are here for you!

AtticaQT -
I too am getting married in January (2 days before u!) and I totally agree with you about the weather ... If this year's weather wasn't so horrible I might have been skeptical but now I'm totally embracing my winter wedding plans. I love that it may snow that day. I love the options for dresses and flowers and coverups and decorations!
