hey 05 brides!! Glad to see this thread is getting longer!!!!
FH and I are planning on going to Hawaii for our HM,....def. going to Maui, and still debating on Kaui too! We plan on going for 2 weeks.

And I will be going dress hunting this May!
But my hall is booked, church is booked, photographer/videographer booked, and the band is booked!!

After hall hunting for days and hours and comparing prices, seeing what each place offers, and what we like ...

We are booking with Leonards tonight!!!!!!!!

Yeepee I am soooooooo excited and nervous about the idea. I can't wait!!!!!!!!

Well so far, we have seen the following places

Milleridge Inn (Carriage House) really nice, except for two things, low ceilings and the curtains were a bit funky looking, but they have a good choice of menu and priced about 81 pp including tax and tip) for a fri nite

Westbury Manor (Hill Room), what's to say the scotto brother's are masters, only thing I didnt like was the banquet manager or sales person, we spoke with, was abit pushy, trying to get us to change the date, to a more expenive date i might add, but overall, i loved the menu, the room and just about everything else, for a friday nite they would be about 81 (including ++)

Jericho Terrace.. not my style at all, jmo :)

George Washington Manor-- I really like this place alot, and the banquet manager, Jeannie is a total doll!!, the largest room (forgot the name, sorry) is perfect, but the room min is 95, and that's totally our of our budget :(
the smaller room, is okay but it's just not the same... they were about 74pp (++ included) for a fri nite

New Hyde Park Inn, comparing it to the other places, it seems to me it's a better place for an e-party. They too were also 80 pp (++included) but didnt seem worth it, again jmo:)


Next weekend FH and I are going to see three more places, all close to water

Harbor Club
Bridgeview Yacht Club
The Swan Club

He prefers somewhere near or on the water, and having it on a yacht was just not in the budget..

From the places we saw so far...Westbury Manor is my favorite, then George Washington Manor, which is interesting, because the two places couldnt be more different than each other...lol

I think FH and I are going to check out photographers this weekend...everyone keeps telling us to do the DJ first because they book up....but I love pics and am so excited to book the photographer! I think we are going to check out Celebration Studios in Manhattan...I really love their work...and possibly Imagine Studios...not positive just yet! Going on this thread and seeing how much a lot of you have done already is a good motivator! But it also makes me a tiny bit nervous....I still have SOOO much to do!
