Hi...Just wondering if anyone had one and what was their thoughts on the car...Do you like it? Do you recommend it to other people looking for an inexepensive 4 door?
I saw the commercial for the car. You can get one for $574 down and $159 a month, and thats a great deal for a smart buy....
Thanks, Scott

Have you thoroughly researched it on edmunds? I've been doing a lot of research on cars, and a LOT of the GM cars, expecially chevys I looked at had really atrocious safety ratings. I don't know much about the car, but make sure you check out the ratings. For me safety is a big issue. They also ahd really poor reliability ratings, but those ere for used cars. For a new car it's hard to predict.

Yes i have researched the Cobalt it gets pretty good reviews...And it is a giant step up from the Cavalier.
If you are still looking for a car car maybe you should look into the Chevy Prizm. It is made by toyota...and all the mechanicals are toyota. The prizm is usually $3000 cheaper than the corolla of the same year. Right now you can get a 2001 or a 2002 for around $5,000 to $7000 with decent mileage.

Thanks for the tip. We're still looking for a car. Now that we're postponing the wedding we can afford to get a decent one, thank god.

Scott, what s the deal with 'smartbuy?' I see the commericals on Tv, but I don't get it. Is it a lease or a finance?

Re: 2005 Chevrolet Cobalt
It is a combination of the two. You pay a payment monthly but you dont technically own the car unless you plan on paying the Final Payment which is a baloon payment. If you want to pay that payment you can finiance it or pay it out right. If you sdont want to keep the car then you turn it in and get something else. Scott
