SO i was thinking last night about how awesome 2008 has been so far. First of all WE are ALL either getting married or already have....and then other important things that happened (or will happen) are...

**Getting a NEW President in November**

I graduated with my masters degree AND got a job that starts in the fall DH also graduated from law school. (We both had our graduations the week before the wedding!!!)
I know that's not a national milestone that impacts all you ladies, but I thought I'd share. Besides, if by some chance I didn't graduate, I'd probably be on here venting about it

Well, in terms of personal & family milestones.... • I'm waiting for my permanent teaching certification to be processed • FH and I will be husband & wife in November • my baby sister & brother-in-law just had their first baby (a boy) on Aug 7th, so FH & I are Aunt & Uncle now!! This was the first time we both held a newborn on the day he was born!!

FH found someone to rent out his co-op and he officially moved in :)
My niece was born and my brother named her after me!
My mom got laid off but it turned out to be a blessing in disguise because she's happier than ever.
I was diagnosed with diabetes -- which is normally a downer but it was caught early enough that I can control it through diet and exercise. I cut back on a lot of the junk and I feel soooo much better
4 women at my job that I just adore got engaged -- so happy for them

I ran my first half marathon
I passed my CPA exam
I got my kitten (her name is Anna)
FBIL and his wife are having a baby
It definitely is a good year!
Lots of great stuff (beyond the obvious getting married LOL)

-DH got a promotion at his job -A week later i received my first teaching position -I have a teaching job lined up for September -We were married, had an amazing honeymoon, moved in together -We're looking to buy a house this fall -My mom had her 2nd full knee replacement and wrist surgery and came through both like a champ -My dad had an emergency heart procedure (surgery) and lived to tell about it and walk me down the aisle. -We have four upcoming weddings (which im in 3 hes in 1) to celebrate with our friends. -Our newest niece or nephew will be born on September 8th!!! (My brother and SIL)

We have a new apartment thats much bigger
My Step-dad was finally properly diagnosed (so now we can work on 'healing' him
