2010 Bridal Shower: To go or not to go?

FH's birthday is Sept 29th and that weekend is Oct 3 - Oct 4th so I was planning to surprise him and go to Boston. Then as I was making plans to book, I realize that Oct 4th is the 2010 Bridal Shower. I was thinking of moving it to the following weekend but then we have Pre-cana that weekend.

Eeek. What should I do? What would you do?

maybe you can just surprise him with something that would be 1 night (friday - saturday)

otherwise, if you realyl wanna do boston for a weekend for his bday i would probably just skip the shower (which stinks but FH would appreciate it im sure!)

Boston's only like a 3-4 hour drive. You could potentially still do both if you left early enough.

I would skip out on the shower if you didn't want to push it back another week to the weekend of the 10th. I wouldn't rush through the mini-break or cut it short.

It's my grandmother's birthday that weekend. And also I think it's bad luck to celebrate birthday's beforehand, so . . .

well being thatyou dont wanna do the weekend before, and then you have the shower that weekend and pre cana the following weekend, your only options are to wait till the weekend after precana which is a little while after his bday but no biggie, or ask someone to take your spot at the shower which is a boo lol

Hmm, don't know what to do. I really want to do something special for FH, but don't want to miss the shower. It would be nice to meet you girls considering I don't know anyone.
