All the books and mags say 6 months before, you definitely should not send them out more then a year in advance and no less then 4 (some say 6), but now that your about a year away you can send them out anytime.

you're not around a holiday is 1 yr before is too soon IMO...
i would send them more like 8 months before...

I just ordered mine and will probably send them out in mid-February (9 months before). I was anti-STDs at first but I have a lot of OOT guests so I need to give them the heads up.

I just ordered mine today, so by the time they come in, we gather the addresses, etc., it will probably be at the 10 month mark. Maybe I'll wait an extra month and do it at 9 months in March, but I'm sure I'll be so anxious I'll just send them as soon as i get them.

I sent mine in August, so a year. But I know a lot of people who were going to book their vacations ....but I think 6 to 8 months is good.

I know NOTHING about this planning stuff... I didnt even know what STD's were until I got my friends... hahah thats sounds funny
