2010-ner crashing! candy buffet question!!

maybe some of you have done this before????

i want to do a candy buffet for our E-party favors. including kids, there will be no more than 100 ppl. ok so i'm getting little chinese take out containers, normal pint size. my question is: how many lbs of candy should i get? i dont wanna go CRAZY with buying too much/spending too much! ppl arent going to fill the 16oz containers to the TOP right? plus, i'm getting things that are chunky too, like salt water taffy...they take up room in the container.....

if i was a kid at a candy bar i would fill my container to CAPACITY!!

i didn't do a candy bar, but i think a lot of it is what kind of candy you get. if you get loose candy, i'm sure you'll need more, but like hershey's kisses or like mini bars you might not need as much.
