I noticed the 09 boards had an 'official' WW thread. We need a WW/Weight Loss Thread. I constantly need motivation. I'm 7 lbs away from my goal weight & I'm starting to lose my motivation.

Re: 2010 WW/Weight Loss Thread
Hi Ladies, How is everyone today? Hope all is good. You are all inspiring me. I wanted to join yesterday after work, but I had some future mother in law drama so today after work I will try to get to WW again lol. Hopefully she isn't upset anymore lol.

It's the same with me Teri. WW is not just a diet, its a lifestyle.
I've changed some of my eating habits without even realizing it! First of all, even when I go out and dont bother counting my points, I just naturally eat less without even thinking about it. I also make small choices that are healither ones.
Because WW allows you to basically eat 'whatever you want' its not your typical diet.
I have to admit...Im 6lbs away from goal and already worried about maintaining! The last time I got down to a nice low weight (in HS!!) I ended up gaining like 50 lbs in college.

Re: 2010 WW/Weight Loss Thread
for breakfast i sometimes have 1 cup of caramel delight fiber one cereal ( it actually tastes good) and 1/2 cup fat free milk ( a total of 4 pts) , or i'll have 2 blueberry eggo nutrigrain waffles ( 3 pts). there a lots of yogurts that are only 1 pt each. for lunch i usually have a Smart Ones because they are cheap and easy and i'll have a 1 pt yogurt

Here's a normal day for me:
I get 21 pts.
Breakfast: 1 cup shredded wheat ceral: 2 pts 1 cup skim milk: 2 pts 1 cup coffee: 0 pts
Or were you wondering how many points you get each week?

i was wondering about both... figured maybe 20 points a day allotment...is that about right? And foods that are 100 calories are 1 point, right?

just curious as to how it works when going out to eat, or parties, etc when you can't really measure out what you are eating... i know some restaruants have points value trackers (i think applebees does) but what do you do when you eat out at other places? thanks!

I'm 5'5', 142 lbs, 23 years old, and my job is not very active: I get 21 pts per day.
Most of the 100 calorie snacks are 2 points. However, they are many other foods that are 100 calories and 1 pt. It depends on the amount of fat and fiber in it.

Honestly, when I go to the parties/out to eat...I just do the BEST i can. I try to OVER estimate the number of points I'm eating (just in case).

thats the same thing i do, just use your best judgement. You kind of guess about how much a portion is, and if anything over estimate

I have tried both & the online tool is nice, but I personally found that going to the meeting & knowing you are getting weighed in once a week motivated me to lose weight more then just following it online. Hope that helps. Also going to the meetings even if you do not say anything just listening to others is very helpful.
