I was a 14 when I went dress shopping!!! It's amazing how beautiful a wedding gown can make you feel! My sister in law is a 'bigger' girl and she said she didn't want to stop looking because of how gorgeous gowns made her feel! GO SHOPPING NOW!!! You will not regret it!!! It made me have more drive in my weight loss goal! I've lost 20lbs since my original dress shopping weight!!

I need to lose the boobs! I never thought I would say that! haha I just don't want to have to spend a gazillion dollars in alterations! I think I'm gonna start doing yoga again!!! Good Luck ladies!!!!

I wouldnt worry about your 'street size' when you go to dress shop, really! Its amazing what a few clips can do! Just dont look at the back if need be. I had a few dresses zip when I went shopping, but not many to be honest. And I would consider myself average.

Regardless, its back on track for me! My new ipod is charging and waiting for me to hit the treadmill!

When I found my dress I was 23lbs heavier. In the past 3 months I've been drinking water like its my job, cut out a TON of fatty foods, and I fell in love with zumba! I've also been eating an apple before lunch and dinner

I was so afraid yesterday my dress wouldn't zip! However, it did! Luckily it was even big on me. Now my goal is to stay this way or to lose some more. I go to the gym 4 days a week and do the cardio machines. Once in a while I'll do weights so I can keep my arms looking nice!

I can't seem to lose weight though! I weigh myself at the gym and I either gain a pound or lose it the next day! I've decided I am ignoring the number and just focusing on whether my every day clothes fit or not!

Congrats on the weight loss! When you ordered your dress, did you order it in the size that currently fit, or did you assume weight loss and got a smaller size? I keep thinking that if I lose too much weight - it won't be able to be altered correctly.

Congrats on the weight loss - that's awesome! You can do it!!!

FH and I have both been going to the gym about 3-4 times a week (trying to bump it up to 4 at all times), and I'm planning on doing Zumba once a week once the New Year rolls around w/ a few lovely ladies on here. Our diet overall is pretty good - we don't eat a lot of junk food, so it's more portion control and making myself drink water! I've lost about 5 pds in the last 2-3 weeks so far (trying to make it a healthy weight loss rather than crash diet), and am hoping to go down another 15 pds by the wedding/honeymoon.

At the gym, we do about an hour workout each time we go. About 20-30 of that is spent on a cardio machine (cross trainer for the most part) and I like to do multiple hills with high resistance at points going at a speed of about 8-9, then I've been doing weights for tricepts and bicepts, and then we do about 10 minutes of stomach things.

Started Weight Watchers after I got engaged and went from a size 12 to a size 4... without exercise.

So excited to go dress shopping as a size 4! Although I want to keep losing weight so by the time my dress comes in I may have to make it smaller... we will see!

I've been slacking. How I did order my dress a size smaller and when it came it It fit well without holding my breath. To be honest I want to least a significant amount more of weight. I'm 16 now and I'd love to be a 10 or 8 by the wedding. I joined and read flat belly diet, I have been taking my lunch to work and cooking more. I really need to get back into the gym.

Where are you going to do Zumba? I found one in Queens, but want some buddies to go with.

I love Zumba. I ordered the DVD's a while ago because I didn't want to look like an idiot in front of people. Its really an awesome workout. I'm at the gym 6 days a week and would like to lose 20lbs by Febuary (about 11 weeks - hard but doable).

I joined weight watchers. I like the accountability - especially through New Years!!
