Hi Everyone!! If anyone could let me know what reception hall quotes that have received for Long Island (or any metro NY area), for 2011 (or 2010, maybe even 2012) that would be great. Im thinking either the very end of May or beginning of September on a Friday or Sunday evening to keep prices down...but any help you can provide (say even for a Sat nite) would be a huge help. I appreicate it and congrats to everyone .

sorry, should have mentioned what I guess I consider reasonable for the area would be under $95 pp. also, Im thinking about 140 guests)

There are a few places under $95- now but not sure how the figure the price increase for the next 3 years...you may have to shop around. Keep in mind I think that weekend is Memorial day so it may be abit higher. Also, plane fare will be higher.

Verdi's was very cheap (like 65 pp). I got quotes for Fox Hollow and Crest Hollow both under 95 pp. This was for a Friday night wedding in July 2010.

I don't have any quotes but keep in mind the holiday weekends. You have Memorial Day the end of May and Labor Day the beginning of Sept. It tends to be a bit more expensive and alot of people make plans those weekends. If you want I would seek out beg or middle of May or Sept if those are your preference months. It could be cheaper

Hard to say what those places will quote this far out, but I think its going to be hard to hit that $ mark for May. Off season, maybe, but May is prime time for top dollar pp prices.

Thank you so much for all your help! I was actually only picking those dates because I had heard that certain holidays would be cheaper and I thought memorial day and labor day would be two of them but I definately am not set on those dates, just want a summer evening.
So, yeah, Im sure 2011 is definately higher than the quotes from now but its always good to have around about figure.
Verdis sounds like a great price so Ill have to start checking places out

You could probably get under $95 pp at Fox Hollow, also when i visited Jericho Terrace they mentioned they were already booking 2011 dates, and the price was under $95pp...

I got quoted under 95.00pp for all of the following halls for March & April 2010:
Crest Hollow CC Fox Hollow Jericho Terrace Milleridge Carriage House Chateau Briand
I am having a small minimum (110) and ultimately decided to get married in March.

If you are concerned about 2011 reception prices being higher than this years or next years prices, then why not go to all the places that you are considering and ask if they allow you to book this far in advance, that way you lock in this years prices and dont have to worry about higher prices. Thats what I did, and I eneded up with more space inbetween payments which gives me more time to come up with the money, and for labor day weekend 2011 i got quoted 100 pp.

I got quoted $95 and under for a Saturday evening in March 2010 at the following places:
Westbury Manor (where I booked) Chateau Briand The Riviera Harbor Yacht Club
I also got quotes for a Saturday evening in July, but ultimately went for March because of the difference in price.
Westbury Manor quoted me at $131 (minimum 100) and Chateau Briand at $107 (minimum 150)
