I know we told all of the lovely ladies that attended the shower about the charity we are donating to as the 2011 brides, but I wanted to wait until we had the check and had the letter drafted etc to tell EVERYONE!
ANYWAY, at the shower, thanks to the generosity of everyone that attended, we were able to raise $845 to go to Wish Upon a Wedding. (wishuponawedding.org) Wish upon a wedding is a nonprofit wish granting organization providing weddings for couples facing terminal illness and serious life altering circumstances.
Lizzie drafted the letter (thanks Lizzie!) and I will be including the letter (below) and the check along with the group picture of all 55 of us from the shower.
You girls are such an amazing group of people and I am so happy we were able to raise this much money for this organization! I am sure they will be so happy to receive this!

I'd love to keep doing things like this!!!! They dont have a new york chapter I actually emailed them to see when they would so we could donate some of our time! I'll keep ya'll posted!!!!

you beat me to it! I was actualyl going to contact them to see if it could go directly to a NY bride. they have a NY president already, so I am thinking maybe that might be a posibility!
