2011er here...Really, how long did it take for your dress to come in?
I haven't started dress shopping yet, and yes I know I need to but I really have no desire!!! I know they say you have to order your dress at least 8 months in advance, but really how long did it take for your dress to come in????

i ordered mine in november, and it came in 5 weeks prior to my wedding.
i think they may have ordered it to do that though. i dont think it necessarily takes that long.

mine took about 7 months ...
as long as you have it about 2 months before your wedding date, you'll have enough time for alterations and whatnot

They ordered my dress in January 2009 and told me it would come in around March 2010 but it came in 2 weeks before Christmas. My friend ordered a Pronovias (which is what I had too) and they told her it would take 8 months and it took exactly 8 months.

I think you are fine, don't let the bridal shops rush you! I ordered my wedding dress the day after thanksgiving and it cam in in may for my july wedding!

Mine took about 5 months . You should always give it some extra time for alterations / problems, but on the other hand my dress was in a store that had a fire i thought it was really bad at the time. So i called a few stores and they said they could get me a new one and that was only 3 weeks before my wedding date. You should be fine if you order at least 8 months before. Hth;)
