The only reason JT has preferred vendors is cause the vendors give JT a percentage of their money. Its more money for them, thats why they want you to use their vendors. But if you meet a JT vendor u love its worth it to book them as they obviously have worked at JT before and eat free.. But dont feel obligated to use them.

Yea your right! I agree with you. And only the preferred DJ vendors get to use the plasmas thats the only perk i guess. But my BM told me if I wanted to display anything on their plasmas, then I can just give it to them and JT will play it for me. so i guess it's not a big deal.

2011 crasher here.....I'm getting married in the Dome. I just wanna let you girls know if you plan on using the TV's in there you have to use a house vendor, Either photographe or DJ. They won't let outside vendors tap into their TV's. We booked an outside DJ (Classie Sounds) They are AMAZING! We went with Patken for the photographer so we can take advantage of the TV's in the room. I think theirs 6

Hmmm, that's not what my BM told me! I'm making my slideshow myself, and he said the Maitre D, would control that and the lighting in our room.

We are getting married in the Skylight Room and having our reception in the Dome Room. So excited!

Yes, if you make it yourself. If you want the shots from your ceremony/church/getting ready it would have to be done by the photographer.

MY BM told me the same thing. Outside vendors are not allowed themselves to plug into or use their plasmas, however, if we wanted to display a photo montage we can create it ourselves and hand that over to the Maitre'D and he/she will play it for us so we will still be able to take advantage of using the plasmas.

Yeah, I could see that... The photos that were taken that day, can't be put up... But preparing something yourself ahead of time can be.
It's a similar issue with the Uplighting, the DJ has to work with the Maitre D and be on the same page. Our DJ is not a house vendor and we will be relying on our MD to match up music and lighting.

Ohh Fantastic!! This is the right place to be on this site, I see. I've been to several catering halls, and Jericho Terrace is my second favorite in decor & what they give you for your day, and first in price! (My first favorite was Vanderbilt at South Beach, SI). We have not booked our date yet because I wanted to wait for the OAK room to be finished with it's renovation. We are seeing VINNY on Sunday and hope to finally book our hall.
This website is AMAZING for finding out tons of information along with pictures of other people's wedding and their thoughts.
Super excited about what us Jericho Terrace Brides can learn from each other through these posts.

Is anybody adding the Deluxe Seafood Bar (extra $20 per person) or the Modified Seafood Bar (extra $15 per person) for their cocktail hour. My fiancee is Italian and we are doing a traditional Italian wedding, complete with tons of food, lots of seafood, and full venetian hour (extra $15 per person). Has anyone else thought about adding any of these extra things?

OMG!!!! you are going to fall in love with the Oak room. It came out amazing!!!! They had it all ready for viewing at their last showcase and if I was having a smaller wedding, I would have definently booked that room. However my wedding is double so i'm in the biggest room, the Penthouse. Check on the Brides Helping Brides forum, someone posted lots of pics of the new oak room. But seeing it in person is soo much better.
As for the seafood added to the my CH, I decided not too. I heard they give you soo much already at the CH that I decided to add the Vianesse Hour instead for the end of the night.
