What room are you in?
Are you having your ceremony there?
Who's your BM?

Hi Ladies,

If you don't mind me asking what is an appropriate tip range for your bridal attendant and your maitre'd? Also, do you plan on tipping the rest of the staff as well considering that there is a clause in the contract that the 20% service charge is not considered a tip. It is not obligated but don't you feel like you have to? Your opinions are greatly appreciated!

I guess I'm the different one..Ian is my BM

I will be there next week at 7....I am nervous about the cake but we will be doing the Vienese trays at the table plus the WM dessert so we're going to save money and just go with Francesco's although I'm not happy about it and really think WM should change bakeries.

I believe I heard $3pp for MD but I could be lying to you. I have no idea for BA. I know 20% is not considered to be a tip, but I feel like we are spending a lot of money for people to be doing their jobs. Not sure if I will be tipping everyone else- gata see if there's room in the budget! ah I hate money! lol

Whoa!! $3 pp?? That's crazy!! We plan on tipping our BA and matre'd not sure how much ... We will probably make the decision that day, but most likely no less than $200 ... Is the tip given to them In the beginning or end of the evening??

Re: ***2012 Westbury Manor Thread***

yea..the MD gets a lot more then the BA, IDK why, but that's what I heard.....I would think you tip them at the end of the night, you want to tip them based on how they perform!

Yeah I'm planning on tipping them at the end of the night as well but I did hear about the $3-5 pp range for the Maitre' D and Bridal Attendant so that's about 300-500 dollars if your guest range is 150. That's a lot of money!

I know! one place we looked at there was $700 in the contract for the MD. We were like WHAT?!

Does anyone know off hand how much the upgrade is for a full raw seafood and viennese is? I threw away the upgrades by accident and I am wondering if we can budget for this since it is something I want now. And girls who got this when doing their contract, were you able to negoitate? Or since we already booked do you think we can negotitate on these?

If you want, FM me the prices =) Pleaseeee!!

I think the add on's are three to five per person and I was going to use their house florist but decided on Pedestals, they gave me a little more for the money. I think cuz I booked them at the last showcase

Re: ***2012 Westbury Manor Thread***

I just booked Westbury Manor for September 8th. We're having our ceremony and cocktail hour outdoors, weather permitting, and our reception in the Garden Room with use of the library and conservatory.

I have heard such wonderful things about Westbury Manor, and I really fell in love with the venue when I visited. However, when I inquired about dates with my BM, she informed she she only had one date in October, and one date on September 8. The September 8 date was perfect for us, and we were afraid someone else was going to snatch it up, since there were other brides inquiring about the date, so I booked then and there. I still love the place, but now I'm freaking out a little because I didn't check anything else out.

Should I be worried?

Nope. The staff there is wonderful and very attentive and the food is even better. I'm just not using their bakery. Everytime I've tasted it, it was dry and not good. IMA

We have the Garden Room for our reception and I'm getting married in that area they call 'grassy knoll' if weather permits or at the hill room if indoors. I believe it depends on the room they give you. If you have the Manor Room, then your ceremony should be in the chapel/garden just right in front the manor room.
