2013 Bride

Hi 2012ers! I am getting married in May of 2013, fh & I decided to do all our pictures before the ceremony so we can enjoy our cocktail hr and get our greetings out of the way then, so we can have fun during our reception. I would have be ready by 2:00 for a 6:30 ceremony. I am getting nervous that my makeup, dress, hair etc will look unkept from those 4 hours before hand. Do any of you have experience of doing your pictures before hand? I need some thoughts to ease my mind!

Great question! I am also getting married in 2013 and have a similar timeline. I was also worried about my flowers not lasting thru the day. I would love to get other opinions.

2013 Bride

I got married at 12:30, all my pictures were done before the ceremony. My flowers were dropped off at the hotel at 8am and still looked fantastic the next day. It was about 80 degrees out when we were doing our pictures my makeup was great all day, just needed to put lip stick on, hair, not so happy with but that was my fault. And there was no problems with the dress. We starting getting ready at 5:30.

I agree with the above posts. The only thing that I had to reapply was lipstick but my bridal attendant always had it for me. I do suggest getting those blotting pads but blot don't smear - I think those really helped to keep the makeup in place. Our flowers were still perfect the next day. I think you should be fine and look beautiful all day
