2013 bride looking to be part of 2012 chat

Hi Ladies,

I been reading the 2013 chat and although I find it helpful. I feel 2012 is where i need to be. I am getting married second week of January 2013. In my mind November and December are out due to holidays, I would love to have planning completed near November.

Anyways, I am in the looking for invitations phase. Did anyone find any good deals anywhere?

You are more than welcome to chat on here =) Most of the girls who are getting married now and within in the 4-6 month period have gotten their invitations.

I had looked online and found some really beautiful invitations through magnetstreetweddings.com. They even sent free samples of up to 3 different styles.

Unfortunately, due to our budget I didnt order them online, but instead I'm doing DYI invites. I bought them from AC Moore and was able to use 5 50% off coupons. I just had to go back a couple times. Its saving me about $600 bucks so I am totally stoked. Plus the AC Moore invites are simple and elegant and I figured why spend so much money on ordering them professionally when ppl are just going to toss them out after the wedding.

Its definitely a personal preference. But it you want to order online I would definitely check out magnet street weddings. We order our STD's from them and they came out super cute and we very easy to deal with. Plus I believe we received them about a week and a half after ordering. Hope this helps and good luck!

Oh I forgot to add.....At the time we ordered the save the dates we found a 30% off coupons online. Saved us about $40. So if you use them just google coupons and you can definitely find some good coupon deals from them!

I had a great invite printer. The Printing Experience. His name is Jim and he is wonderful and easy to work with. My invites are gorgeous and they were not that expensive. HTH

Thanks Ladies. I have been looking on bed bath beyond and they are about 100 for 100. I'm sure i'm missing something. I am in the beginning stages of finding great deals. I may be able to make them myself, but how is it for the rsvp cards?

Invitations were rough. I was picky but after shopping around Cathy at An Invitation Sensation gave me the best price. She has several books you can got through. It took me a while to find her but once I did she made miracles happen! Cant say enough good things. My invite was middle of the range expensive but was dbl layered, had ribbon and had the raised print. They are beautiful! Also came with our return address printed on it and on the RSVP.

To help with timeline: We sent ours out with 6wks for ppl to respond bc we had a b-list that we wanted to send out. Our RSVP date was about a month before our wedding.

I ordered mine from Wedding Paper Divas. i only wanted thermography, which can be a bit more pricey then flat print, but i got 180 for $600 with RSVP, outer envelop printing, and RSVP envelope printing. They sent about 10 extra plus the invite tissue. They were great to work with and really fast delivery. I could not have been happier with what I got!
