Hey Beautiful Brides to be! I guess you all fell in love with this venue as I did. 5/3/13 is our date! Just under a year now for me. Hows it all going with you guys!

Love love love the Royalton!!! I'm hopefully booking the florist in the next few weeks....going to see a sample next Sunday. Who are you ladies using for your flowers?

We have not done a single vendor yet. We just booked about 2 weeks ago. I guess I better get a move on.

Unless there is a vendor(band/dj/photographer) that you feel you really want, don't stress too much. Florists usually do more than one event in a day.
We're having our ceremony at the Royalton. I took my aunt yesterday to the Royalton to show her. It was the first time I had been there while they were setting up for a wedding. It was amazing! I can't wait for our day!

Wow I didn't even think that I needed to meet with florists yet, and I am getting married a week earlier, I better get a move on!!! If you don't mind can you FM me your, quote/package so I can get an idea of what I should be budgeting?

I went with Spitz and Peck, I didn't even go to Stephans to be honest because we liked Brian from S&P. I went a couple of months ago and I want to say they quotes us for around 5,000. I want to say it was a little bit less. Hope this helps!

Just looked at the Royalton and fell in love with it for July 2014 wedding. Has anybody heard of plans to open a public park with pool, tennis and playground on the former Roslyn Country Club location? The times had an article saying that the owner sold 7 acres to the town of Hempstead for a community recreation area. I was wondering if anybody's heard about this and how this might impact a wedding ceremony and reception in July. I'm thinking of looking elsewhere. Thoughts?

I haven't heard of this either. Usually a project like that would take a while to complete, so I'm guessing it wont be an issue next summer if it hasn't even started yet.
