I think right before the spring showcase? I can't remember the exact date but they updated the worn areas.

Trust me there are WAY worse carpets at other venues... FH and i looked at Glen Cove Mansion and their carpet was atrocious.

The green carpet has grown on me! I think it adds to that vintage feel and charm.

Woodlands carpet never bothered me. I think it goes with the rest of the mansion. GCM on the other hand. It was the only thing I could look at.

Well, during the day there's plenty. The whole room has windows. There are chandeliers and sconces on the wall for the night. I'm also having some uplighting provided by my DJ.

I loved that picture too! I checked out the blog that posted pics from that wedding and it seemed so elegant and gorgeous. Do you think they provided all of those candles or maybe the Woodlands had them and moved them there for the picture and guests' exit? We don't have anything extra special for greeting the guests, just the typical champagne I think.

Have you asked if they have an easel for you to borrow by any chance?

Speaking of candles anyone found a website to find bulk candles I've been doing some shopping online but there's so many prices to compare its hard to determine the best route.

Yeah, the woodlands have a few easels and said its not a problem. as for candles i went to ikea...the prices seemed reasonable and cheaper than micheals and ace moore...you can always go online and shop around but i guess im too lazy.lol

crashing...CHRISTMAS TREE SHOPS for candles. anywhere online will charge a fortune for shipping. i had a very extensive search going at one point and nothing compared to christmas tree shops.
sounds silly, but i found the candles at ikea to have a funny smell to them. very waxy.

i forget about the christmas shop, thank you! i havent even lit the candles from ikea yet but im glad im not using those for the votive candles then. I mean they are unscented...
