24 Hour Urine Test Anyone??

Hi girls,

Well, as most of you know, I miscarried for the second time. My Dr. has sent me to a maternal fetal specialist, who is suppose to be the best!

Well he sent me to the lab for all this testing, and one of the test is a 24 hour urine test! They gave me this big ole' ORANGE jug and told me that I have to pee in it and even if I miss one little pee drop the entire thing is useless. I basically have to take it with me to work!

And the best part, it needs to be REFRIGERATED!

Anyone ever do this, any suggestions to survive this ordeal?

I would suggest maybe peeing into a cup or something and then pour it into the jug so that way you don't 'miss a drop' . Maybe take the day off from work so you don't have to take it with you.

I've had to do this twice. Do it on a weekend day that you can pretty much hang out around the house. It is a pain (and kinda gross that you have to keep it in the fridge ) but there's a reason for it.

I think I am going to do it on a Sunday and drop it off first thing on Monday morning... I really can't see myself bringing it with me to work.
