24 - missed it, what happened?

I'm not sure that I should write a review...b/c I have been hating this season...

it turns out that the whole thing has been a set up btwn Jack and Tony...they pretended that the virus had been leaked...so that they could break Salazar out of jail and buy the virus froma Ukranium scientist - they thought it would be the only way to keep the virus out of the hands of terrorists...then once salazar and his group bought it they would intercept it...Jack had this whole taped speech for the president to watch...and he is pissed off about it...

Chase in his plane decided he was going to find Jack on his own...and turned off all communication to CTU...so he didn't know that this is a plan...but Tony had a friend in Mexican intelligence that met his plane...but Salazars guys found them and shot the federale...and they took Chase...

meanwhile Jack has been trying to convince Salazar that he has nothing to do with CTU now and he just wants to help them get the virus (they could resell it and make $1 billion) - as long as they give him $15 million to support his heroin habit...

when they bring Chase in...Chase is all pissed off at Jack (b/c he thinks he turned sides) and Salazar says if Jack is really not at CTU he will shoot Chase...so they give jack a gun and he pulls the trigger!!! but there are no bullets...I guess it was a test...

so Jack and Chase are now with Salazar...and Salazar says he will kill them both after he gets the virus...

with the President and his woman...the woman went to her ex husband (I think) to get the papers that cleared her name (and showed the guy to be guilty) and then he shot himself in front of her...she went back to the president (not really visually upset which was strange considering someone just committed suicide in front of her) and broke up with the president...

and tony is back at ctu...but he passed out

scenes were that Michelle turns tony in to take him down from his position...and that the Ukranians representative meets with Jack and there is going to be some kind of bidding war for the virus...

I'm not loving this season either - thats why we totally forgot to watch it last night (and we were home!). In tha past we've been fanatics about making sure we see it, and last night it didn't even occur to us until it was over.

its really rediculous this season...
John actually predicted the whole Chase thing - that he would be caught and they would make Jack shoot him...

its just too much...I don't know if its that the other seasons were also too much...and I am just realizing it now???

oh I forgot...jack is involved with Salazars girlfriend...but she doesn't like him right now b/c she thinks he is a traitor...

I don't know why they totally got rid of Kate??

This season needs to go in the pooper!!!

I am a big 24 fan, but totally disappointed with the nonsense they are trying to pull off. It just doesn't make any sense.

Ah well, I'll still watch it...

the fact that tony is back to work 3 hours after he has been shot in the head!!!!!! that irks me to no end - shoot him in the shoulder or something...but no hospital would have let him get out...
