I don't know if any of you have read the book, 'Bridal Bargains' but they have all great websites to visit for bargains.. I just checked out one of them... http://www.freshroses.com/roses.html#premium
They have 25 roses for 22 bucks!!! This particular website highly recommended this site as the best. We would buy direct from the grower. Just a thought...
They had some other sites, (I haven't checked out yet)
Thank you- sounds great!! I will definitely use those sites.

it's a great site - but the shipping charges are and not worth it if you are not buying alot of flowers.

Re: 25 roses for $22!!!
Just a little plug for Costco, because I also thought about buying roses online because I made my own centerpieces.
Roses were $15 for 2 dozen and they were GORGEOUS! I was able to preorder them so they were all the same color (I used red). No problems whatsoever and they lasted for a while.
I had an actual florist make the bouquets and the boutennires (sp) and corsages, but my BM's and I did the cp's.

Can you actually buy roses or flowers from another place and then have a florist make then into bouquets and the boutennires and corsages??? I thought you had to purchase the flowers from the same place.

I thought of Costco too!!! I was wondering if you could pre-order, good to know!!! By the way, I was wondering the same thing... if I buy my flowers elsewhere, can I give them to my florist to do? I have an appt. to speak to my florist tonight, is that tacky to ask her that?

i probably wouldnt ask. florists make their money by buying flowers very cheap and adding a service charge to it. so even if you gave the flowers to your florist, it may end up being more expensive because she can probably get the flowers for cheaper.

I dont think a florist will do it for you(maybe one of those independent floral students would though), but you can always ask. I asked one of the florists I visted and they said no, she said they want to use their own products so they know they're giving you the best stuff, but Im sure it also has to do with them not making as much of a profit.

Re: 25 roses for $22!!!
Oops- sorry, I think that my first post was a little confusing.
I bought the roses for my cp's and I made them.
I paid a florist to use her own roses and make everything else.
For me, I wanted to budget more money for other things, so having small cp's and doing them myself was worth it to get other things. I just didn't trust myself to do the bouquets.

Yeah, I wouldn't trust myself with the BK's either. This would only be for the centerpieces.
