25th wedding anniversary ideas

Hey girls,

I am hosting FHs parent's 25th wedding anniversary at a really nice catering hall in brooklyn.

I want to do some really elegant things. I already purchased little boxes that say 25th Wedding Anniversary on them, and I will fill them will Silver foiled Kisses or Silver Coated Almonds.

The colors are silver and red.

Any other ideas anybody?

We did this for our parents a few years ago and my best friends were Oriental Trading, Michaels and Party City.

We brought their wedding album and had one of their 8X10's framed and put on a table. My sis also made a scrap book of their proofs

We had the DJ play a few songs from the band that played at their wedding (Johnny Maestro and the Brooklyn Bridge) and played their wedding song.

We had a replica of their wedding cake made but unfortunately no one could remember what the filling was. I tried to steal her topper but i couldnt get into my moms hope chest w/o her knowing

We made our theme silver and pastel rainbow colors since that was my moms theme. We had pastel rose petals on the tables and I made M&Ms in tulle in various pastel colors as the favors. I also bought mint tins that said 25th anniversary on it.

We invited the whole wedding party (well those that we had contact info for) and quite a few showed up...including the ring bearer ha ha

ETA it was a surprise party and oh boy were they surprised ha ha. We even convinced my mom to make a hot dish bc she thought it was my aunts 90th surprise party ha ha

how many tables are you having? Can you do like, 5 years on each table? Like table one the 'first 5' or so and a small collage and memories from those 5 years... etc?
