It's sinking in that there's only 9 months before our wedding and all I've actually booked is the venue (cake included), dj and photographer. I feel like there are about a million things I'm missing and I feel like I am going to forget to do so many of the little touches that make the wedding special. So, I made a list of what I have to do from the top of my head. Does anyone see anything obvious that's missing?
Here are some extra things on my list that you are missing:
-PreCana -Registry -Honeymoon -Save the Dates -Choose Readings and Readers -Choose ceremony/reception music -Wedding Bands -Tuxes and shoes for GM and FH -Rehearsal Dinner -Create Menu with Venue -Breakfast the next morning? -Marriage License -Parent gifts

You're the first bride I've found with a date close to mine! :D Btw, my cousin is a bridal attendant at your venue and has told me lots about it. You're going to have a great wedding!

Mine's close to you too. We haven't secured a venue yet. All I've done is get my gown, DJ and Limo. We need to get a move on.

- List for the DJ (must play songs and songs that you do not want to hear the day of). - If you're planning on having the DJ introduce you and the bridal party at the reception, you would need a song for that too - First dance song/ Father daughter dance song/ Mother and groom dance song if you're doing any of the above - Wedding programs/ wedding menu - Finalize menu choices - Cake tasting and design - Shuttle for OOT guests - Day of timing (hair & makeup, pictures before ceremony or are you prepared to miss part of cocktail hour, etc..)

It's funny. I am overwhelmed by all the big and little things that need to get done and don't even have a firm grasp on where I'm going to start. And when I said this to my mom (who I drag everywhere with me), she was like, 'you've got the hall, DJ and pics...doesn't that mean you're almost done?' Lol. She wasn't very involved in the planning for my brothers wedding because my ex-SIL's mom was a control freak, so my mom really has no clue about the mountain of decisions that have to be made. It just feels like so many things are contingent upon other elements of the wedding. I'd love to get makeup and hair out of the way, but have no dress or veil so I don't want to choose a hair or makeup style that won't match. And I need to find BM dresses before we choose linens and flowers and so on. I'm just terrified that nothing will match and instead of a theme or a 'vision,' I'll end up with a crazy looking mess lol.

I'm getting married Valentines Day next year, and all I have done is dj booked and venue booked! Literally nothing else! Been having horrible health issues for the past few months tht have just put everything on hold. Hate it!

I'm so sorry to hear that! I feel like a jerk complaining about my indecision when you actually haven't been able to plan for reasons beyond your control. I hope you're doing better soon!!
