2nd question: Did you believe Ian was the murderer?
I did not find fall for that part of the story. I kept thinking it's not him even while the evidence was mounting. I believed it was M all along.

Natasha: I agree with you. I knew that it had to be M all along but what I wanted to find out as I was reading it was, how did all those items get into Ian's home.
I thought he did in the beginning- because there were all these little hints. But then it started to seem a little far fetched.
I think the author tried too hard to point the reader in Ian's direction so you just assumed it HAD TO BE someone else. I didnt think it was going to be M. Thats what I didnt like about the story - it should have been a twist ending IMO.
I did believe it was Ian 1/2 way thru- but Stef is totally right. There needed to be a twist- something more.
I never thought Ian was the murderer. I saw M as the ultimate manipulator - the only time he was not in control was when he was tied up. And then he finally got some of what he deserved (though not for the reasons I would have!).
I thought it was him before they started pointing the finger at him - when he was first introduced. But the more they made it look like him, the less I thought he did it.
At the very very beginning - I said to myself to watch out for clues that it might be Ian since they were pinning it on M right off the bat. Once Ian and M met that first time with Nora, I disregarded any other notions that it might be Ian....I figured M would try to set him up.
I was a ****er and believed Ian was the killer. I believed it completely until she saw the video of Franny.
For a moment, I though the author was hinting that it was the detective. I figured that would be too far fetched.
It came to my mind a few times about the detective but I didn't really give it much thought.
I kind of got ****ered in along the way, but really didn't believe it could be Ian. M just seemed so out there.
