2nd Wedding Venue

2nd Wedding Venue

Ladies... Please help! I have just begun my second wedding. We really want a small (50-75 people) simple but elegant affair(wedding at reception site). Thinking more like an elaborate dinner party than full wedding. Any ideas for a smaller venue (restaurant suggestions with a private room are also appreciated). Thank you so much!

Hi,

Congratulations! You might get more responses, if you post on Brides Helping Brides. Also, what area are you interested in . . . Nassau, Suffolk?

In Nassau, the de Seversky mansion is beautiful. The maximum there is 150, so I believe they can accommodate smaller parties.

And congrats to you as well! After I posted, I realized it was in the wrong spot! (Newbie, what can I say?) Thanks!

try Larkfield Manor... very afforable and they have a smaller room for smaller receptions... they work with you and their food is AMAZING!

Also I have heard other brides on here talk about smaller weddings with them check out some old threads

My friend got married this past weekend in Manhattan at the Lotos Club...a VERY elegant place (LINK )

I also recommend Caffe on the Green in Bayside, Queens...I had my engagement party there, and their small room can hold up to 80 (minimum 60), but they also have a larger room.

good luck!!

we had our reception there in the smaller room with 80 guests and it was wonderful. the owners really care about making your day the best possible and we were treated as if we had a 300 guest wedding not just 80.
yes the food is fabulous and plenty of it.

Danfords on the Sound

They can definitely accommodate a small wedding (it's perfect for parties under 100). The service is fantastic and you can't beat the price!
