we went to portsmouth new hampshire for our first vacation together we looooved it. might be chilly but it's such a cute town.
also out to montauk, up to vermont... you could do spa stuff, we love doing that. if you ski there are tons of options - ski up north and get massages!!
i love getaways!

I don't know if drivable and warm are feasable options...but there are some great drivable getaways! Go to the poconos to the place where they ahve the champagne tubs. i know people that have went there and loved it! go up to vermont and get cozy by the fire! I love boston i think it's such a fun city! maybe a B & B up in Newport Rhode Island? Cape cod?

Boston, Philadelphia, Baltimore...those are all historic areas within driving distance, but probably not that warm

so many choices! boston - if you love history, youll want to walk the freedom trail. maryland - best crabs ever at obryckis, aquarium, the harbor newport rhode island - wineries and mansion tours - they might have a chowder fest in march, not sure. connecticut, mystic - seaport (historial), aquarium, mystic pizza pennsylvania - lots of history, great restaurants and bars

Re: 3-4 day getaway?? Any ideas?
as short, 3-4 day vacations we've done...
cape cod mystic, ct...and then to plymouth, ma or plymouth and then to boston vermont (stayed at a great woodsy area, with a nice suite...not a cabin) new hampshire
i've also been to philly with friends and done the whole historical thing for a weekend
baltimore is great around the habor, or dc, or williamsburg, va
fh are doing a 2 night stay at east wind and a tour of the li vineyards in a couple of weeks.

D.C or Baltimore it's about 4 hours and 5 hours roughly. Fun stuff!
