I am so excited to be this weeks bride of the week!! Thank you so much Eunice!!

Now lets get started...

When did you realize FH was the one?
Do you think he realized it at the same time and What makes him the one?


For me I can honestly say the first time I saw him he was in dress blues I knew there was something there, it just felt differnt.
As time went on and our 'friendship' (yes literally) grew I saw he had an amazing amount of respect for himself and me too. I wasnt just a chick to him, I was a women, mother, student, social worker... He saw the whole me.
We dated for 8 months before we were offically anything other then friends....
But it wasnt until 3/9/10 when he handed me a small wallet that held his PBA card and a mini shield that I was his 'official' girlfriend and we began to include my daughter in our relationship. I knew that day he was my forever. He was thoughtful and protective of her and didnt play games with my heart or head. He was what I had fought so hard to find.
He on the other hand didnt verbally tell me he loved me until Sept of 2010 and he used to kid around w me and tell me our relationship was 60% me liking him and 40% him liking me. He came around when he had left on a vacation for 15 days without me and returned with my pandora charm that says I Love You.
I am still not sure how I ended up so lucky.

So let here it ladies... did he fall first... or you... ???

I knewwww FH was the one when his mom was going through a health problem and I saw him cry. It was the first time I had ever seen a man let their guard down & I just knew I wanted to spend the rest of my life making sure that he never had to cry again!

As for who fell first... FH said I love you two weeks after we started dating.. so I always say it was him! LOL

The 1st time I realized I was falling for FH was actually when I had went with him to get a shape up at the barber shop lol I know its sounds really weird but I was just sitting their watching him get groomed and I just felt so happy and content. I rem thinking how cute he looked and smiling to myself and BAM it hit me.. Im falling for this guy.

He was actually the 1st to tell me he loved me though. It was April 3rd, 2011. We were sitting on the couch watching TV and I noticed he was just sitting thr staring at me and I looked at him and asked what he was thinking about. He then says you really want to know and I replied yes. So he moves closer to me and hugs me and he tells me I was thinking about how much Im in love with u. I smiled so big and just stared at him then I kissed him and told him I loved him 2!

FH and I knew each other for close to 6 years before dating, but it was probably only about a year after that I knew he was for me...


We were living in separate states at the time, I was in VT and he was in PA. So he drove up to spend an extended weekend with me (He was unemployed and frustrated job searching).

The first sign: We were curled in bed together, window open, curtains aflutter.. just a lazy morning when he turned to me and told me our children would be beautiful and that he always loved certain names. This did't freak me out - I actually came to realize I liked that prospect and wasn't going to bolt in fear.

The second sign: A day later or so, He had to leave to go back to PA but I was stuck working late. I arrrived home from work to find he had cleaned my entire apartment for me, made me my favorite dinner (Chicken Parm) waiting in the fridge to be heated up and left me a letter telling me why he love dme.

The little domestic things like that.. and I was blow away by his thoughtfulness. I remember sitting down to eat dinner and relax at like 10 p.m. thinking I had the best guy in the world.

Oopsy, I said April 3rd, I meant March 3rd!!

In the WAY beginning of our relationship--we went on our first date and we both had an amazing time... I had a freak out right after! There was something so perfect about him (for me, that is!) that I wasn't sure if I was ready for it... haha. He even called my friends to be like 'I'm not giving up on her!' (in a non-stalker-ish way HAHA)
He gave me a few weeks and I came to my senses that maybe this was what I wanted and the rest is history! I'm pretty sure we fell in love with each other (or atleast were ready to tell each other) early on at the same time!

When FH and I started dating, I never would have thought he was “the one”. I met him during summer break and I remember telling my friends he would be good to hang out for the summer and then we’d break up when I started school again in the Fall. My mother was visiting from out of town and I showed her a picture of us together and the first thing she said was, “you’re going to marry him”. I laughed it off and told her she was crazy.

Summer ended and we kept dating. We got really comfortable in our relationship, and I moved in about 1 ½ years into us dating. When I started looking into Grad Schools, I wanted to move to New York. We spoke about where our relationship was going. He didn’t bat an eye and said he would move with me. This was a touchy subject, because his previous girlfriend moved to Michigan for Grad School and he didn’t follow. They broke up shortly after she moved. While I wanted him to come with me, I didn’t expect him too. It was decision to attend grad school in NY and I wanted/needed to follow my educational goals. I was going either way.

During this process, I knew he was the one. He left everything for me. He rented out his house, quit his job and moved his whole life to NY. Granted he’s originally from NY and has a ton of family here, so the transition was easy for him. But he was living in FL for 10 years - he had bought a house there, he had a great job, and had a nice group of friends. He was so selfless and so supportive of me and my goals. He is truly an amazing man and I don’t know what I would do without him.

FH said it was love at first sight for him and remembers every detail down to the entire outfit I was wearing the first time I met him.

As much as I would love to say it was, It wasn't the same for me. I had left a very very unhealthy 4 year relationship a couple of months before and wasn't ready to jump in to full blown love. I was still tainted and abused and certainly not ready.

But I guess that's how love works. It always happens when you least expect it.

He said I love you first a couple of months in, but I definitely loved him before he even said it.

As far as knowing he's the one... I knew he was the one I was going to marry and spend the rest of my life when I sat down around the 1 year mark and realized that everything good in my life that has happened in the last year was all because of him. And I still feel like that every single day. It's like the love just never stops growing. I tell everyone he saved me and for that I owe him nothing but a lifetime of happiness.

FH and I were not love at first site... more like love at second for me and a lot more then that, as he tells me, for him (tough guy LOL)
I knew he was 'the one' when I literally couldn't imagine a day of my life without him in it. I wanted to be wherever he was and couldn't wait to see him when we were apart.
He was a little more hesitant then me, but about three months into us dating he knew there was no stopping his feelings for me.
I'm forever greatful to have him in my life and I sometimes have to pinch myself becasue I think I'm dreaming.

I think we are all very lucky to have these amazing men in our lives, not only have they shown us love they brought the 2013 Brides together!

I knew that my FH was the one at my eldest niece's 2nd birthday party. Her birthday is in June and so my sister made goody-bags for the kids with chalk and bubbles (etc) and also put a jumprope in there. My niece was 2, she didn't know how to jumprope and she was starting to get upset watching the other kids- so my FH showed her. He is 6'3 and a solid 250, he looked ridiculous! But she was so happy, and maybe it was me looking way into the future to our own kids, but it meant so much to me that he would do anything to make her happy so she could play with the other kids too. Silly, I know, but I definitely saw something that day and knew.

He said I love you first, but we both knew by the time he said it how we felt about each other.

FH and I met on an online dating site, so I was REALLY nervous about meeting him. We went on 3 dates in 4 days before it became official, but I knew from the beginning he was special. Whenever I talked about him I couldn't get the biggest grin off my face. We were dating about 2.5 - 3 weeks when he looked at me and told me he was falling for me (I felt the same way but there was NO WAY I was saying it first ). We were dating exactly a month when he told me he loved me, and I knew that was it.

When we were dating about 6 months, his stepdad's father passed away. I went to the wake (both days) and the funeral. We were out to the meal after the funeral and his mom and sister came over to me and plopped down. His mom looked at me and asked when I was going to marry him I nearly choked on my wine! Nine months later we were engaged

I knew him almost 2 years before we started hanging out as good friends. I just got out of a relationship and just wanted a guy friend, not a boyfriend. We hung out the whole summer and after a while we got together. i didnt think it would be serious since he went away to school and had plans to go to Austrialia for 6 months during the winter months. He left for school and I was sad but we still spoke on the phone. He called me up one night and said he wanted to tell me something but he was scared to tell me. I knew he wanted to say I love you but was scared. I played dumb the whole time, like what do you want to say. He said 'you know when you are a kid and you have your favorite cup. And you love that cup.' and i said 'when i was a kid I had a favorite bowl.' still trying to play dumb. hes like 'you know how you loved that bowl. Well thats how I feel about you' So i responded that I still didnt understand. He then yells 'Cassandra I freaking love you, ok! Do you get it now!?!?! HAHA.

A couple of months later, I knew he was the one when I had a health scare (it turned out to be nothing)but he went to the doctors with me and later told him how scared he was of losing me. Thats when I completely let my guard down and fell for him.

That is so cute!

When we first met each other in June of 08' through mutual friends I didn't like him at all lol but for him it was love at first sight. But over the next 3 months he grew on me when we would hang out with our friends and sometimes alone. By September 3rd we were an official item.

I always had a great feeling about us but the moment I knew that he was the one was after 5 months. It was the day before Valentines day he came home from work and came over and told me that he couldn't wait till tomorrow to give me my gift and wanted to give it to me right then. So he pulls out this gift bag and I open it and its a beautiful little diamond ring, he grabs it from me and puts it on my finger and struts spurting out all of this mushy stuff, I don't remember much of it except, 'this ring represents a promise that I will always love and cherish you till the end of time.' He kept going on and on but I was caught by surprise and corny romantic stuff makes me giggle so I just started laughing and gave him a kiss. He promised that one day he would get me an engagement ring and make it official forever and he did, 2 and a half years later yay
