Answer: I really like the look of a cathedral length veil especially since I have a long Catholic Church aisle to walk down! Lol. I definitely want a blusher and for my dad to lift it up after giving me away. I will not be wearing a veil at the reception.

I haven't put a lot of thought into veils. I've never worn one before lol so I'm not sure what would look good on me. I want to have a birdcage veil rather than a long one, love the way they look, but I guess it will depend once I find the dress and see what looks good with it!

I bought a single layer veil with lace trim that goes down to my elbows (don't know the proper name for it). I'm not getting a blusher and I will be wearing it during the reception

I bought a beautiful two tier tulle fingertip length veil embellished with a beaded stitched edge. My stepfather will me lifting my veil!
I am SO undecided about leaving it on the whole day. I want to but then I am thinking is it too much throughout the entire reception? I think I might leave it on for a while, photos etc but then ultimately take it off, who knows I change my mind every minute haha
I just want a simple one layer fingertip length veil. I want it to have some crystal beading along the edging that matches the beading on my dress. My mom is actually planning to make my veil :)
I plan on wearing it for the ceremony and the first dance and then take it off :)

I ordered a cathedral length veil with beading along the edge. I'll also be wearing a blusher. I'm going to keep my veil on because it can be bustled, so something to keep in mind for you ladies who might want cathedral but question wearing it all night.....you can bustle it!!

I'm planning on getting a single-tier cathedral length veil. I'm not sure about the details on it though. I do want to wear a veil during the reception, but I don't think cathedral length is the way to go for that lol...I might buy a cheap 2nd veil that's shorter to wear. Idk yet

THIS is such a sore subject for me! I totally did NOT want to wear a veil. Then FMIL started this thing where she looks at my fridge and sees a picture of my best friend and oooohs and ahhh's over her headpiece. The convo went a bit like this:
FMIL:OHHHHH is this your friend who just got married? Me: YUP FMIL: You were in the bridal party right? Me: Yes FMIL: that is a really beautiful hairpiece, what are you wearing in your hair1? Me: Nothing. FMIL: NOTHING?! You have to wear something. Me: No, No I don't FMIL: Just try on a veil? Me: For what reason!? I don't plan on wearing one. FMIL:Just try one on so you feel like a bride. Me: I'm pretty sure the big poofy white dress will do that for me.
Now, this is a real convo. It happened. then a week later, the EXACT same convo happened. Then a week later again. Now I just ignore her when she 'see's the picture' for the first time.
But THEN I was talking to FH about it and he's like I'd like you to wear a veil (he did not know of the convo between me and his mom) and I agreed to try one on. if I like it i'll wear it, if not,oh well. not wearing it!

I love a super simple floor length veil but I also LOVE the lace edged elbow length ones but I don't think either go with my dress which is actually a HUGE disappointment. I probably will wear a sparkly headband in place of a veil :-/

I'm definitely getting a cathedral-length veil. When I first bought my dress I tried it on with a mantilla lace veil which looked beautiful with my dress - my dress is satin with alençon lace. I'm just debating now between getting a plain cathedral veil and letting my dress do the talking, or a simpler mantilla lace veil. I definitely don't want a blusher, all the ones I tried on squished my face and I didn't like it hahha. I don't want the veil resting on my nose.
I'm going to wear my veil up until the first dance, then probably put it on again for the father/daughter dance, then retire it for the night.

It really depends on my dress but I won't be wearing a blusher and I don't like birdcase veils. Ill orobably keep it on until after the first dance.

It depends on the dress I end up with. I would like a cathedral with a blusher for my dad to lift but it depends on cost too. Either way I will have a blusher. If I end up with cathedral it will come off. If I end up with finger tip I'm not sure if I will leave it on or not. I always thought I wouldn't wear it in the reception but who knows.

Lately I've been thinking that I might not do a veil. I am in love with the back of my dress and I don't want to cover it up at all so I might do a birdcage or just have a bling hairpiece.

I am probably going to do a fingertip length veil or I was thinking of wearing my mothers veil when she got married. No blusher and it will be off for the reception

Same answer! I'm getting married at St. Patrick's RC Church and would love a cathedral length veil.. Won't wear it to the reception though.. Not sure about how a blusher will look on me though, I'm just going to wait till I try on the veils to decide on that..
