Good Morning Ladies,

Today I decided to something to get to know everyone a little better and to have a little fun. .

My QOTD is:

Tell us something that will shock us completely about yourself. Something that we would have never guessed about yourself!!!

I used to go out every Wed-Sat when I was younger. Even before I was 21. We used to stand outside so people would come in the bar or club. I was nuts! Me and my old friend used to be the life of the party!(i dont know what happened lol age i guess) But our friend used to DJ at Expo in the city and we got a job being his dancers LOL! So every Sat night for the summer we were a CLUB dancer LOL!!!
We did for 2 months and decided that we are nuts and couldnt lie to our parents anymore LOL!!!
When CYlo opened in Staten Island that was our new spot - Thats how I met my current DJ for my wedding we all were very close and kept promoting him and now he owns his own DJ company. Whenever there was a fight between my friend and her bf, he used to be like Dana, Jen go in the back lol Let me get this drunken bf of hers out of here. Even for Halloween I dressed up as a Devil to go out == Embarassing Much? Ya with red devil horns LOL!!
I was a party girl and now Im laid back and getting married LOL!!! I miss being young!!!

I think most people would also be surprised to know that I was bad in high school as well.. I was ALWAYS sneaking out! To the point that my parents actually installed video cameras outside of the house so they could monitor if I left or if I cut school during the day and came home. It was pretty ridic!!!

I know that I was BY FAR the worst nightmare for my parents in my early 20's!! THE WORST!!! I partied way too hard, did whatever I wanted, stayed out without telling them...If my son or daughter EVER tries that shyte with me I'd lock them up in a basement...literally! And now I am so the opposite. I go to work, home, gym, home, cook, tv and sleep...every night M-F and then on weekends we go see family. But I really was like a bad lifetime movie. I could have been on the show Intervention! Sheesh...if I could only go back in time....

Well aside from the fact that I'm 100% puerto rican and NO ONE can tell when they first meet me... (i always win 2 truths and a lie )

I actually wasn't that bad, I was the honor student on the dance team, dance was my life up until last may... I started dancing at 3 and then competitively from age 7, I was on my high school competitive dance and kick line team, I coached a cheer leading team in high school, I was a cheerleader in college and on the Dance team too, I was also the captain of my college dance team my senior year so I don't know if that's something you would have guessed about me

I used to be super shy & quiet in high school. But after school is when I'd do theatre and whatnot... so I had like, 2 different lives.
Now I'm just loud and outgoing haha

I used to date a red sox player

when FH and I broke up a few years ago, I was living in boston and he used to come visit me at the bar all the time... it was for alike 3 weeks, but still, I got to go to some awesome games!

I love this question! Definitely a unique idea!

Hm... Something you would never guess about me?
My mother ALWAYS complains about how bad I was in high school, but she had it so easy! I never once drank, smoked, did drugs, snuck out, nothing! I literally did not drink until I was 21. I had been in a long term relationship with a REALLY controlling guy who would've flipped if I had done anything like that. We broke up right before my 22nd birthday, and THAT'S when I went through the stage of going out all the time I still wasn't THAT bad though.

My brother joked that my alcohol level was higher than my GPA. I went away to UMass my first two years of college and they don't call it ZooMass for nothing. 7/11 used to have these huge red jugs so we would fill them up with alcohol and go from one frat party to the next. I even entered a bikini contest at the local bar (I was alot skinnier then and it was for $100 bucks and $100 bucks to a college student is a lot of money) After my second year my mom got sick so I tranfered to St.John's and didn't party as much. Then I met FH and he doesn't drink so I decided to stop.

Another ZooMass attendee. So many people leave or drop out after their first year due to partying, sorry to hear it was due to your mom's health.

Okay..

One thing that not very many people know about me or suspect about me is that I'm a firespinner/dancer and have appeared in a movie that was at the Sundance film festival.

Yes - that means those images you have of a guy twirling a staff at a Hawaiian Luau - I do something simliar to that. Just not with a staff/stick, but what's called poi and a hoop.

I was part of a team that helped create the background effects for Oddsac, an Animal House Collective film that debuted at Sundance Film festival. It was great money for a fun night.

So.. i like playing with fire. :)

oh wow i don't know...hmm....

well, no one would guess from looking at me that i had an eyebrow ring and a monroe piercing for a few years (i miss my eyebrow ring almost every day though )

and even my friends forget that i still have some other piercings

I am a high school drop out!

I dropped out 3 months before graduation, worked full time and made NO money. So i went back the following year for the full year and graduated in 98 instead of 97. I then went on to attain my AA at a private 2 yr college, and transferred to a 4 yr school getting my BS and a daughter, and will graduate w my MSW in May. Needless to say I am super proud of myself!

I had to think about this question all day before responding.

I guess if people were to look at me they would not know that freshman year of high school I used to cut classes a lot to the point where I was failing. I used to get in trouble everyday because I always came home late. After school I would go hang out with my then boyfriend. I also was not allowed to date but I did it anyway. When my parents found out I got in a lot of trouble. The guy was my friends' brother and he was 3 years older than me. They did not like him because he was also dating my friend at the same time.

Freshman year of college I did not do well either. I signed up for a class that I thought would be interesting but it turned out not to be. Instead of dropping the class I just stopped going and slept on the couches at the school. I'm too embarrassed to say what my GPA was that semester
After that I took school seriously most of the time

These are great answers. I don't know if anything I can say will be very shocking.

This is the only thing I can come up with: I am physically incapable of burping. My mom says when I was little I burped normally, but for as long as I can remember, I have never burped. I could drink 5 bottles of seltzer and never even feel the urge to burp. I have begged FH to teach me how to burp.
