3 Ringbearers?

3 Ringbearers?

I have a big bridal party:

8 Couples
2 Junior Couples
1 Set of Godparents
3 Ringbearers
and 2 Flower Girls (and a portradge in a pear tree)

What do I do about my ringbearers?

2 of the boys are twins and 5 years old.
The youngest is 3 years old...so who holds the pillow? Do I get 2 pillows for the twins, 3 pillows for all of them or only 1 and have the 3 year old hold it?

The twin boys are walking in with my oldest flower girl who is also five and wearing a replica (almost) of my dress so she is like a mini bride.
I'm afraid it may be too much stuff if the twins hold a 2 pillows...but, I don't want to offend their mom.

I asked them to be ringbearers...not ushers... you think it's something a mother would get upset over?

I have 4 ring bearers; but I only got 1 pillow. I thought it would look silly with 4 boys all holding a pillow.

My sister had 3 ring bearers. She had one carry the pillow and the other two carried silver roses.

I think that because the pillow nowadays is more symbolic (we don't actually put the real rings on there), you can have flexibility in what you want to do and not worry about any customs or traditions. If it avoids starting a war, I think it would look fine for all 3 boys to have pillows. If it's okay with the twins' mom to have them be escorts of the flower girls, then it's also okay to just have the 3 year old carry the only pillow. Or maybe you could give the other two boys small bells to ring, or roses for your moms to carry down.
