A lot of people do not advocate this, but I would weigh myself almost every day. Each time I saw that hated number on the scale it motivated me to stick to my diet and work out schedule.
You should also try to find a diet that is simple and easy for you to follow. Maybe instead of counting calories and points, you just need a list of good foods and bad foods. Or a program with pre packaged foods.
Try workouts that include activities that you enjoy, and make sure you vary them. Your body will get used to doing the same thing over and over and eventually you stop getting results.

I weigh myself everyday too Jenn. I do South Beach, and although it is not a quick fix, it does work as a way of eating as opposed to a 'diet' and I am never hungry. It is one of those lifestyles that as long as you make it your way of life, you can treat yourself once in awhile and just get back on track the next day.
This is something I have ALWAYS gone through. I always want a quick fix and when it doesn't work as quickly as I had hoped I give up. All of the time you spend giving up because it is not happening fast enough can be spent losing at a slower, more regular rate. If you want to talk more about it, IM me, since I am RARELY ever on here anymore . . .

I would recommend going to see a nutritionist. They can evaluate what you have been doing and tell you what foods are the good foods and the bad foods for you.
Ifyou eat right you can really speed up your metabolism.
Oh and you have to exercise at least 3 times a week.
