I'm on the hunt for a florist. Preferably somewhere in Nassau because my ceremony is in Manhattan and my reception is in Glen Cove. Can you please recommend some vendors? Approximate price range' What was included in the price. I'll probably need about 17-20 centerpieces. My bouquet 2 MOH bouquets 3 BM bouquets 5 bouts 2 Urn Style Altar Arrangements Pew Decorations Toss Bouquet So far I'm set on black maginc roses and burgundy calla lillies with some sort of green and deep purple accents. Is my budget too high/too low?
Also, if anyone knows what PURPLE flowers are available in JANUARY that would be great! Most of the ones I liked (just found out) are spring and summer blooms THANKS GUYS!

We are using Stefans-all roses w/ mixed greens. They were very professional and flexible w/ price. I'm not sure as far as budget goes, but I think you will need to increase it for what you want. If you have any questions or want contact info let me know. Continued success to all...

We are using Flowers by Michelle. We met with the owner John and he was very patient and accomodating. I had no idea what I wanted and he took alot of time showing me different centerpieces and flowers. We are spending under $3000 and have about the same as you. They are located in Huntington village across from the Harbor Club. I don't have the phone number off hand but e-mail me if you are interested and I will look it up.

I used Fower After Flower 516 795-7673. They were wonderful. I worked with Christine, the owner. Here is a picture of my bouquet I wanted something very traditional. Sorry the picture is a little blurry.

I am also using Flower Michele in Huntington. I met with John this past Friday and put a deposit down before I left. He sat with me for almost two hours to go through all that I need. I am spending under 3k which includes:
18 centerpieces Bride 1 MOH 5 BM 8 bout 2 pieces for the church pew decorations. The number is 631 549-8680
I was very excited when I left there!

I am using Colonial Florist in Bellmore and I'm spending about $1300 for:
(everything is all roses) 1 bridal bouquet 6 BM bouquets 6 corsages 13 boutineers 2 flower girl baskets with roses 6 pew bows 15 centerpieces (mine are quite simple though)
I think that's it!

You can get purple tulips. And violets. There are other more wildflower varieties. I think lisianthus might come in purple. And you could use potted lavender as your favors! (my sister is getting married in January - and using all purple as well.)

I am using Burtons in Melville. They have a great reputation and charge by the type of item, not type of flower. Worth a trip to meet them.

Flowers by Brian was awesome for our wedding, unfortunately I don't really recall what we spent .. but they were worth every penny. They were the only florist we met with, and at no point did we ever second guess our choice, either during the planning, or since the wedding. I loved them!
We dealt with Lisa and Bobbi.
They are on Hempstead Turnpike in Mineola. Around the time of our wedding (Sept.), they were getting ready to move to a bigger location just a few doors down.
