33 wk apt and now on bedrest

It seems that my little guy is literally on top of my cervix!!! My OB is concerned b\c I have a 'short' cervix. So I'm offically on bedrest!!! She also noted that the baby has a large head, but she was not concerned with any abnormalities like hydrocephalus, which was my first question. The Dr said you have to blame that on oneside of the family and looked at my husband and laughed, she is too funny. I also found out that the baby weights around 5 lbs and is in 70th percentale. I plan on taking it very easy, I want to get to 36 weeks to avoid any complications with the baby. I have another sonogram scheduled next week hopefully the will migrate up.

Take care of yourself and try to get as much rest as you possibly can. I can't imagine how boring it must be to have to be on bedrest... plenty of good books and hopefully good movies on the old boob tube!

Definitely listen to all their advice and when they say bedrest, make sure you are doing it. It's hard to do, I know. I was on bedreadt for about 1 week when I was preggo with Lukie and you want to get up and move around and get stuff done but you can't.

The large head is definitely hereditary. My son has always been around the 95-97 percentile on head circumference. My ped said it's hereditary and looked right at my DH's head too. LOL how funny that your OB did the same with your DH. As long as there's nothing abnormal, and thank God your OB was able to rule that out, there's absolutely nothing to worry about, except you cant buy the outfits that come with matching hats b/c the hats will be too small.

Now have your DH go out and rent you a bunch of DVD's and Enjoy some rest.

Enjoy the bedrest as much as you can. You need the rest now. Not too much longer to go.
