3.5 weeks.. still need DOJ!!!

i bought a necklace like a yr ago.. and apparently it got moved when we had some renovations done and now i can't find it anywhere. My final fitting is next wed. and i really wanna bring jewelry so i can see what i wanna wear that day.
I may just wear earrings ..like dangles or chandelier w/o a necklace.. but i still wanna see what it's gonna look like first. Where can i go for inexpensive stuff??? I was gonna order online...but i figure if i got the stuff and didnt like it i wouldnt have time to order something else!

you can try tri-county. They have a few nice costume jewelry booths. Where do you live? I got my DOJ earrings from a place by me in queens

i'm in brooklyn..but the williamsurg area.. so i'm close to queens. I was gonna go the queen center mall and try some stores there.. but i dont wanna spend a fortune if i dont have to.

we do have to go back to tri county cause they spelled my name wrong on FHs wedding band
so i can look there too..but since FH is coming with me i doubt he'll let me .. he hates shopping..lmao

I had to con DH into going to tri county. He severely hates that place. If you can make it to bayside, I got my earrings from a store called top drawer on bell blvd. They had really nice pieces there.

I already picked out DOJ a few mos ago, and now I am not crazy about it. I wanted bigger earrings, and an art deco type bracelet, but not to spend $200 on it..

I got some nice stuff from ebay. awesome prices!!!

I grew up in Williamsburg!! Not sure where exactly where you are but there is a cute costume jewelry store on Graham Avenue off of Metropolitan...right near the L train....

I was in there the other day but they didnt have any necklaces i liked.. but the earrings were really cute!!!! i just bought a clutch in there for my cousin's wedding last month!!!!!!!!!
FH and i picked out my engagement ring right next door at tivoli.. which used to be gold mine. They guy always gets me a great deal cause i've been going there forever..but i know they are way too expensive for my DOJ! lol.

i got my earrings at bridal reflections in carle place when i went to pick up my bridesmaid dress for my sister's wedding....they have beautiful jewelry there and not too expensive...i think my earrings were $65

There is a costume jewelery store in Carroll Gardens/ Cobble Hill on Smith Street near Pacific Street. Sorry I can't remember the name!

I agree, also try a department store. YOu can always return there if you change your mind. Good luck!

wow...small world :) I remember Gold Mine...used to go there for jewelry all the time

I am sure you will find something great! I love Thomas Knoell's stuff...he has items that you could buy the day of....he is right across from JEricho Terrace
