My Dad is drving me crazy - telling me not to go for another hair trial and picking some AWFUL song for us to dance to

You still have a week for the response & I don't think 50 people left is that bad.
Another hair trial--if that is what you need for piece of mind then do it & don't tell your dad!
The song-try to find a compromise.

it's about a dance dancing with his daughter on her wedding day- it reminds me of the sweet 16 song!
I wanted something modern and fun- like the first one we picked 'My Girl'

try and relax...it will get easier. i promise. pick your battles, if your dad wants to pick the song, let him. don't stress about that...it'lll give him something to do.

My sister told him about the hair trial b/c I am taking her to lunch for coming with me
and I lost on the song
it's not 50 people- it's 100- half the wedding

Sit back & take a deep breath! Don't get stressed now! Dad's have a way about them! Even if the song is not what you would pick, let him have that once choice.
Don't let him tell you not to do the trial! You do what you want & that is something that really matters to you

um, can we say Dadzilla! Don't worry, he's probably just nervous and wants everything to go well for you. When you decide the song that you want, just say it would mean so much to you if you could dance with him to this song.

Just take a deep breath, and relax with some wine. Everything will fall into place. Get the hair trial if it will put you at ease. As for the song, if it means something to your dad, then I think you should go along with it. He is only going to get to do this once, and obviously the song he chose has sentimental value to him, otherwise he wouldn't have picked it. Try not to stress out!

I didn't give my father a choice, there was no dicussion. I picked the song and told him I wanted it to be a surprise and assured him he would approve of it.

I know it will be ok- I know most of the people that haven't replied are coming- but they are Jake's friends and mostly boys so they are slow
but the thing has a stamp on it!!!
I got 5 yesterday and 1 phone call- so I am sure I will get most
my Dad is a total Dadzilla- I am going to start calling him that

you are approaching the most stressful time of planning.
its unfortunate but soooo many people do wait until the last minute to respond. i don't know why - but most people are very laxed about checking a box and dropping something in the mail. i agree - let the next week pass w/ an open mind and i am sure the responses will roll in.
if it makes you feel better - my dad nixed 'my girl' too - he told me it was a 'cha cha' and he was not dancing the cha cha w/ me on my wedding day. look @ it this way - its just a song - its only one dance - try not to let it consume you right now.
and as far as the hair trial - just go - what is your dad going to do about it? don't let him give you stress about your hair as well...
