Okay girls, im going to meet with 4 DJS this weekend for the first time. what kind of questions should i be asking?? and the DJs are Cool Breeze, Absolute Entertainment, Spin around Sound, and Then Till Now.... any info would be great!!! im not looking for giveaways or a lot of participation... Thanks!

ABSOLUTE DJ was wonderful, you just sit back on the couch, and he will go over everything. It leaves almost nothing to be asked! (He's funny, he looks just like Joey from FRIENDS!) Not that I'm any kind of expert.. but I can tell you what I asked.
I met with Spin Around Sound first- then Absolute. I wanted to know what whould happen in case their van broke down? What was their plan B? Not that it would, but you've got to know. How far in advance to they show up to your hall? (I'd say make sure it's at least an hour. You don't want them to still be setting up while your guests are arriving.) What terms do they have for Overtime? I forgot this one at first, and come to find out, it's 1/2 the price of an hour of your total cost. make sense? Let's say your dj is 1000 and your event is 5 hours. that's 200 per hour.. ot would be 100 per hour. Ask about their music selection and if there is any chance that you want a song that they don't have, if they'll get it for you?

i ended up booking Then Til Now. the owner was very professional, and showed me a large amount of tapes, including weddings he has done at my hall. i was able to negotiate with him, and we are always having a large screen that will have a photo montage of pictures of my FH and i right before we are introduced. then they also show photos during the daughter/father and son/mother dance. im so excited!!
