how do you keep your motiviation to continue to look your best????

it seems I have gained the 'newlywed 10' and I am very disappointed in myself for this. However, since we have gotten married my DH has become MAJOR couch potato. I am not trying to make excuses but it is soooooooooo hard for me to be running on the treadmill while he is on the couch with a box of cookies - and I would of course much rather be cuddling as newlyweds on the couch.

So this in combination with my complete loss of motivation is not a good spot to be in. Before the wedding I was so motivated to look good, now its all gone

HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Do what Marcella says!! I am so mad at myself for not staying on top of the situation a year ago and only have more weight to lose now. You'll thank yourself for it! And we're here to support you

I am actually the opposite - After the wedding, I dropped about 15lbs since I finally had the time to focus on exercising, dieting, etc. I say find a buddy to do it with - That will definitely motivate you to go to the gym and eat right.

I stay motivated by thinking about how important my husband is to me. I want him to be healthy too. So, I don't buy a lot of junk and I try to make sure we are both fed healthy, although tastefully. I want him to live a long time and I want to have a full and healthy life with him. He runs, but never did much in the way of strength training-which is really important as we age. I joined the gym and asked him to come with me. He sees how important it is to me, so he goes. I want us to live long enough to see our children get married and have children, and I want to be healthy enough to enjoy that time!

I am not married, but everytime my FH is around me (I lost weight when he was away with Coast Guard) I gain weight and it's my own fault. I like to spend time with him!!!

Sure it's easier to eat/eat out/desserts/snacks with him, or sleeping in with him, or be home when he gets home.....but for what to watch my hips spread. Then I feel even worse about myself.

I decided I feel a lot better about my self, and when I am happy with me, i can be happy with others. So i made it a point to exercise more and eat when I am hungry and stop when I am not. We don't really exercise together, so I made it a point to make the time for myself. Even though you are a couple, does not mean you should forget about yourself.

We eat healthy (most of the time) together, but I know I need to do stuff on my own too to keep the weight off.
