i was wondering, since i only have 4 months to plan everything, i wont have time to send out STD cards, but when should i send out the invitations??

My wedding is 12/15 and I'm sending my invites out by 10/1.
Start spreading the word as much as possible so that people at least have it on their calendars.

i think it will depend on when your hall requires the head count. ours is due the day after thanksgiving, so we are putting an rsvp date of 11/1 on there. we hope to get the invites out the week of labor day. but, we were total slackers on STD's, and those are going out this week since we paid for the magnets anyway!

We got postcards for our STD's but they didn't say Save the Date on them... there's just a picture of us, and the date of the wedding.
Because the Invitations came in the same day as the STD's, we're actually just reusing the STD's postcards as Thank You's. ($30 for 300 post cards... you'll spend more money on postage!)

usually the response is a month before the wedding and you mail them a month before the response
