1st Everybody is different and the idea of 4 women judging each other is so strange to me, since everyone has different tastes and wants different things for the weddings
2nd they put a 20 thousand dollar wedding on the same show with a 100 thousand dollar wedding. I think that is awful!
Personally I am staying within a modest budget of 25 thou (yes for 220 people, and yes it is possible) and I am so sick of hearing that it isn't. Cut corners and negotiate and you can have a gorgeous and fun wedding for less than a house.
Anyway, I love seeing the weddings (I get so many good ideas) but I think it's so unfair that they put big budget weddings aginst small budget weddings - it's like comparing the big apple circus to a sideshow.

I agree, I don't like when they do that. Which episode were you watching? Cause the one from Friday I was like DUH, the woman who spent $150K in Atlantic City is going to win! I feel like everytime IW atch that show, the scheme is a little different from last time. Like, they can't perfect the formula. But I have seen episodes where the weddings were all comparable in price and quality. Those are more fun.

Re: 4 weddings
every time i watch this show ( i missed fridays episode) all the wedding are around the same price range.
like 2 weeks ago they had one where there was this one hippie girl who got married in the sand and had pizza for her wedding under a tent for like 10K then the next girl got married on a tuesday and there wasn't alot of food either but it was at a lounge her boss paid for and it was like $15K and the most expensive was like $30K

Yeah, that's the other one I was thinking of where they were all comparable
But this time, they had a girl from Queens with a 20K budget and a health care exec from Manhattan who had her wedding in AC and spent $150K.
And SHE won the honeymoon MEanwhile, it's her second marriage, her DH is 52 and she's 39, all with grown kids... pay for your own damn honeymoon. Like I said before, she could have spent $120K, had a ridiculous wedding in AC and still had a crazy honeymoon.
At least they could have found other expensive weddings to put with hers... but I think they do it by geographic area, and all of these were near Philly.

I dont like the show- it's like my biggest nightmare-
someone judging my wedding
i want people to be there to celebrate how i found the love of my life
not discussing what they thing of my flower arrangements!

I refuse to watch that show or any wedding show where I have difficult relating to the characters...Like Platinum Weddings...
It reminds me of that show 'Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous' w/ Robin Leach..seriously.why ogle something you can't have? I have better things to do w/ my time than enviously watch someone rich bride throw a million dollar wedding! (shakes head)

So true! Platinum Weddings makes me shake my head sometimes... Although for the most part it's the brides jewelry that makes everything so damn expensive...
Not that i would say not to half a mil worth of jewels... Im just sayin'

Re: 4 weddings
so true, I like watching weddings (yes I get ideas) because I get excited. My family acts like this is no big deal and my FH's older sister got engaged a year after us and set her date 2 months before ours and his family asked us to move our date to make it less stressfull for them, meanwhile we had our date 6 months before her. yeah. so me watching wedding shows lets me celebrate with myself haha
but this one I feel like it started off with women who just needed the money for a honeymoon and liked going to weddings, now they have recruited really bitchy women that aren't afarid to use words like tacky which I just find mean.
I think every wedding is beautiful, weather its beer and a bbq after townhall or in a villa in Italy, two people willing to share their lives together to me is a gorgeous thing.
I think they should make a show where they give people huge 50th aniversary parties, that is deserving of a show! or a show that gives older couples who had low key affairs big parties for their families (like a vow renewal)
